Magrunner: Dark Pulse Part 6 Meet Newton! AKA: Enough Already!

So apparently Gamaji has updated our magglove, and this time something actually appeared to happen when he did it too. We now have the power of nanobots to project a magnetised toy dog called Newton. As adorable as Newton is though, he still doesn’t make up for the frustration building in this play through. Infant that frustration comes to a head tonight. You’ll see what I mean.

Having learnt the secret our mentor Gamaji had been keeping from us since the mysterious death of our parents, Dax works deeper through the Magtech facility searching for a way to get out. Along the way we also learn the importance of NOT riding on objects marked with big explosive danger symbols.

Deeper into the off-piste side of the MagTech facility and things are getting increasingly ominous as we learn a rather dark truth about Dax’s parents, a terrible secret that our mentor, Gamaji has kept from us for our own well being.

So we learnt last time that it is entirely possible to die in this game. Having seen a fellow magrunner get ripped to shreds by, whatever that thing is.. Swamp thing’s roid raging cousin? We take a walk in the sewer system, because, well why not I guess. We also get introduced to some new mechanics that are not exactly clear from the signage provided and we learn that magnetic fields sort of work through walls, when they want to. It also turns out its very possible to get frustrated in this game too.
