A few years in Lys, lead to a thing or two.
Aerion hates kids, except his own. He would commit unspeakable acts for their sake. Rye seems to have a talent for giving him healthy boys.
She's happy and adores their boys, but she never wore anything except black since Baelor died.
Maegor is a sweet, gentle, little thing, despite his namesake. Maelor is named after Maekar and Baelor. Maekar II was born in Westeros after Maekar lifted Aerion's exile.
Do you know what's missing in Westeros? A big book with 1000 baby names, they would've avoided so much conflict with more than 2 names and it's variations smh
As some of you know, one of my fics is based (albeit loosely) on the show. While at first, I could avoid thinking too much about it, the time has come when I need to know what year it is in my story. So, I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out the timeline and make it work somehow. I went to bed even more confused than I was before.
And now, in the show, Ryan adds Maelor to the mix? When is he going to be born? Do the writers of the show know that pregnancy lasts 9 months? Or do they still believe children are delivered to parents by a stork?
Anyway, I've given up on making the show timeline work. Fuck it. I'm making my own timeline.
"A son for a son"
I've decided to color in official artworks from ASOIAF to make the scenes more immersive while we all wait for season 2 of HOTD 🥲 The artwork is not mine, but the coloring is. I couldn't decide which color I like better, the green, orange, or blue, so I've decided to post all 3. If there are any recommendations for which artwork I should color next, feel free to tell me so I can do it.
(Original artwork is part of the illustrated Fire and Blood novel by George R.R Martin)

yeah Phia has posted a few stories hinting to Helaena's demise. I honestly think Jaehaera will take Maelor's place? Unless Helaena is already super top secret pregnant with Maelor and ends up miscarrying which breaks her. (And to those speculating Aemond will be the father, I highly doubt that).
Jaehaera will fortunately not be taking Maelor's place because grrm confirmed that in his blog post last year.
As for whether Helaena is pregnant or not, we can't be entirely sure. It's just speculation but it would definitely serve them well to have her be secretly pregnant all this time since this will:
1. Justify her refusing to fly Dreamfyre into battle.
2. Feed into her apparent suicide should she lose the pregnancy under stress, which is more close to the book and a better reason than 'destiny demands I kill myself'.
What Phia posted could allude more to the fact that the murder of Jaehaerys and the absence of Jaehaera (who will be sneaked out of KL) has left her feeling empty, and this could as well lead to the deepening of Helaena's depression while she is Rhaenyra's prisoner.
Otherwise, revealing that Helaena is already pregnant with Maelor would be a way to appease grrm and fans a little. They even had Maelor in the opening sequence of season 1, so walking back on the fact that Helaena had him (in utero, at least) was just bizarre and a glaring act of incompetence.
You can also rest assured Maelor (and the twins) is definitely not Aemond's, lmao. At this point it has been disproved by Phia, Olivia, Fabien, Tom and Ewan.
maelor: hdkjfsfidh papa
aegon: um?????
aemond, not looking up from his book: he's asking you to pick him up.
aegon: there's no fucking way he said that. also aegon: *picks maelor up like he's a bomb*
Me, (A servant passing Helaena’s chambers) noticing that Blood and Cheese didn’t get Maelor as well:
