Out of one nightmare and into another confusing situation.

It felt apocalyptic. Well, one that he didn't cause.

Creatures stormed the streets with people running and screaming in droves. There were some individuals down there fighting to feed off the horde. There were some individuals who was singing and those were being targeted heavily.

Interesting...

But was it interesting enough for him to help out either sides? No, not really. His demons can do whatever they please during this crisis and he himself have chosen to perch and watch and--

Two whipped tentacle shoot out to tear through and tear apart one of these ugly creatures once it rushed toward him. The many mouths he's covered in snap their jaws in irritation at the lack of actual chewing they get to do here.

He looks over in time to spot someone smart enough to keep themselves out of the direct line of sight of these rejects.

"H-hey! Watch out!"

She'd just walked into Cafe December to order her usual hot chocolate, but it seemed Susie was destined to come to somebody's rescue again; noticing a girl at the top of a very high ladder against a bookshelf.. suddenly come tumbling backwards. She scampered into the place, pushing past the other patrons just in time to thrust her arms out; catching the girl before she hit the floor. Looks like she was pulling out a really heavy book and lost her balance..

"Are you okay?! Damn, lucky I was here to catch you! You could've really gotten hurt, you--"

Something about her feels familiar...but no, they shouldn't have met before. Perhaps he was recalling another soul who had the same quiet vibes, one he hadn't sensed in a long while now.

So Aurelius is content to stay in his place, seated on a park bench with a random book, until a gust of wind blows through the place and scatters the pages of the girl's sketchbook as well as upending her whole box of colored pencils.

Blue-green and red-orange stop in their tracks before hitting Aurelius's face; following them, the other pencils freeze as well, suspended in mid-air. Then they obediently line up and return to their places in the pencil box, which then floats back to the girl who was sketching on her own.

Just because it was study hall, didn't mean that Shadow was going to do homework or well...Study. He was quite bored actually, and his usual victims weren't here.

There was a certain young artist a couple of rows ahead of his seat...

All he had to do was...Ball up this piece of paper and...boom! Bounce it off her head to gain her attention.

Inevitably, when she'd look back to see who threw it, she'd find Shadow waving at her, with an oh so innocent smile.

"I don't get it." Sephiroth rested his cheek against his hand and stared down at his textbook. Out of everything he was struggling with, he couldn't believe Art History was the thing ruining his perfect A+ streak.

"It's nothin'..." Till mutters, bashfully turning pink.

His eyes widen at her question.

"Y-y-you... want to draw... me?"

Oh. Now he's very pink.

"It's— I— Uh—" Till flusters, twisting his hands into the hem of his shirt.

"I... d-don't have a problem with that... B-but I think there's just... better p-people t' draw... You shouldn't waste your paper..."

Despite being an island, the winters on Spirale could be especially biting-- whenever he needed to run an errand, Watanuki would bundle up as much as he could, staving off the cold that threatened to seep into his bones. Even a simple trip to the grocery store could be somewhat grueling for the man; despite wearing a haori over his usual kimono, and a large scarf around his neck, he could feel the chill of the lingering winter more fiercely the more he stayed out.. yet despite now wanting to make his trip back to the shop as quickly as possible, something stopped him.

For a moment, he thought he might be dreaming. In what world, even one as strange as this one, would such a young girl be out in weather like this without even a jacket? He startled at the sight of her, stopping mid-step; and immediately acted without a second thought.

"Excuse me," he started, approaching her before sliding his bag of groceries over his forearm. With both of his now free hands, Watanuki removed his oversized scarf; one that was soft to the touch, and a pale blue that matched the bits of sky one could see through the grey clouds above.
