Oh gods, I just realized something.
Hossen sent Rooster off to go kill Vinnifer and 'get Deus out of Roosters body'.
But from what we've learned, both of those things are a bad idea.
If Vinni dies, the weave won't be destroyed, but no one will be there to command it.
And the only one who could possibly do it is Deus.
So either Hossen doesn't know what is actually going on and has sent Rooster and Kore to kill Vinni based on guesses of how everything went down (Which I find unlikely just based on how Hossen is as far as we've seen. He seems well educated and like he isn't going to go through with a plan till he knows for sure what's going on.) Or, he knows what's happening and is doing it on purpose for some reason.
And why am I telling you all this, dear readers?
Because I have a theory on why. >:]
So, we know that for whatever reason he needed Rooster alive to do this plan.
We know from Zemara that whatever Hossen is doing is likely to kill Rooster.
We know that he's well aware of Deus.
We know he is very aware of Vinnifer.
We know that Hossen surprisingly doesn't speak highly or respectfully of Vinnifer despite him being a magic scientist. (It could be that he was just trying to use Vinni 'not being a fair goddess' as a way to convince Rooster and Kore to kill her, but still.)
We know he used to keep Rooster in his house before the magical explosion, even though he didn't want to stay.
We know that explosion happened because Hossen was experimenting with Magic.
We know Madelaide was MADE from that magic, and the accident itself.
We know that she has a very special way with magic, based on how we were told that she cultivates and grows all the plants, including the ones who make magic pollen, and that she gifts her magic to other people in the mansion.
We know he loves and adores Madelaide.
In a very suspicious way, might I add.
He literally says 'Everyone here serves Madelaide.'.
That is not a normal thing to say about your child. TvT
Not to mention, out of roleplay on BlueSky Avery posted this along with the picture for Madelaide:
And that's just super suspicious! >:0
So.
My theory is that Hossen is trying to get rid of Vinnifer so he can put Madelaide in that position, or at least something similar since she has a lot of control over it.
And yes, I know there's a flaw in this logic because of Deus and how Hossen previously was talking about how he wanted Rooster to get rid of Deus so he can't hurt Madelaide, but I think that he's either hoping Vinni and Deus kill each other (Which he might not know Deus can't be destroyed.), or that he'll be able to convince Deus that since Hossen sent Rooster off to go get himself killed and free Deus, that he'll spare their world or something.
There's also another theory I have for this part about how even if Deus kills Vinni, the lamp stays the same cause her dying isn't going to reverse all the magic stuff she's done and that's why Hossen wanted to keep his lamp so bad, because he can still be contained in it.
And while it's a possibility that his lamp is likely cracking with Rooster, I don't think it's necessarily true and that his body can Crack, but his soul can still be contained.
So that's my theory. >:)
Thank you for your time. UwU
I shall now continue to sit in the corner with my little tinfoil har, murmuring to myself. :)
