You may have observed the MBP battery health (its capacity) gradually reduces over its lifetime. The procedure I've mentioned below should be done once a month.
Not sure if it's the procedure for all laptops' batteries but I've verified it works for my MBP. If there's anyone that could check it out on other OEM laptops, that'd be ace.
Original battery capacity: 5770 mAh (100%)
Before the procedure: 5539 mAh (96%)
After the procedure: 5768 mAh (99.9%)
These are the steps:
Charge your battery to full and keep it at full (plugged in) for at least 2 hours. You can use it throughout.
Unplug it and use your MBP until the battery drains and it goes to sleep
Let it sleep for at least 5 hours
