So for the past few months, my computer has been asking me to update it to high Sierra OS. Which, ok, fine, Except everytime i try, the update fails and i have to go back to normal Sierra. I’ve looked online and other people are having the same issue, but it seemed to be able to be fixed by repairing the disk partition on the disk0 or disk1. But i have tried that, and it is not fixing the problem. All my diagnostic attempts(limited they may be) have come up saying that there is nothing wrong with my computer. it is most annoying. I though Macs were supposed to “just work”
I’m wondering if it has something to do with how i put in a new SSD replacing the original HD, but because it turned out not to be a problem with the HD but with the SEDA controller (or possibly the cable connecting it to the SEDA, i haven't actually checked that) we installed the SSD where the disc drive was.
