i love a good dee and charlie team-up because they’re both really wholesome but i enjoy a mac and charlie team-up because they’re both idiots. in general stick charlie with anybody and it’s a good episode.

i feel like season 16 and beyond need some dee and mac team-ups. like they’re the only two gang members who like men, i feel like that’s a fun dynamic to work with. frank and dennis could slut shame dee and she could be like “mac has slept with more men than me assholes”. or a wingman episode where dee tries to get mac a boyfriend so he can move on from dennis. or an episode where they both have a crush on the same guy and are trying to figure out if he’s gay or straight (i think it could be funny if he ended up being aro/ace. that could lead to some fun ace!charlie crumbs). anyway the possibilities are literally endless, and i want so badly to see dee and mac semi getting along. it’s such an underused friendship within the gang.

on a surface level you think glenn would be the pretentious one in the rcg dynamic but then charlie day will say some shit like “i just want my character to sit down and read some nabokov while surrounded in a room of impressionist paintings depicting the formidable tragedy of being bound by the clutches of sorrow.” baby boy, you put charlie kelly in a museum and he would be licking the paint off of those canvases.

truly i think “the gang buys a roller rink” is as bad of an episode as “thunder gun express: maximum cool”. like i didn’t think rcg could stoop THAT low again, but they somehow managed.
