The party was already lively enough, and to his surprise the night had been going pretty damn well for the most part. After an hour or so he figures it’s about time he check in with Mabel, maybe humor her in some impromptu karaoke or something like that. What he spies from a few yards away is a bit of a shock: a stranger handing money off to his sister in the most discreet manner possible. She passes him something, and the two part ways without so much of a word. Of course, Dipper had to know, but he waits until the exchange is through before approaching her.
“Whoah, Mabel, what the heck was that all about?”
