When Ignis had heard Weskham was in Lestallum, he had done his best to cross his path. After all, if someone could help when it came to cooking, it was him. Beside, the older man had been a dear friend of King Regis, so Ignis already felt some kind of connection toward him. The advisor refused to be a BURDEN to anyone, and he would totally understand if the other didn’t have time for him, but he still had to ask.

Weskham had started wearing his hair long, more like his fathers, and kept it braided back so it was out of his face. He was a little surprised when the prince reached up to touch it, but the look switched quickly to a smile. “It’s different, isn’t it?”

Regis was studying when Weskham comes to check on him, his hair was the first thing he noticed. It looked liked Wes’ father, but, far different then what he used to see on Wek. Frowning a bit, he slowly brings his attention back to what mattered, his homework. Still, homework had its limits and soon Regis was staring at Wes’ hair.

He wouldn’t have recognized the younger man if he hadn’t heard his voice. He looked so different than what he had seen. But when the blond spoke again, he was certain that it was  Odin. The younger man knelt, pulling out something that Weskham couldn’t see.

He shifted slightly, trying to watch. What in the world was Odin doing in a Nif facility? And how did the slim blond plan to get him out of there when he felt like he could barely lift his arms, let alone walk or run?

“Do you have a plan?”

“I’m not really a plannin’ kinda guy,” Odin muttered.  One of the shackles opened in his hands, and he laid it aside. “We’ll be wingin’ this one, Wes.” His grin flashed, there and gone, but there was an odd ferality to it. “Won’t that be fun.”

“Tch-” He gritted his teeth as his gun clicked empty, one hand reaching for the extra rounds in his pocket. His head snapped up at movement - the beast launching itself at him. Before Weskham could move out of the way, there was someone between him and the creature, taking the blow that was meant for him. “Cid!”

Cid never really had a purpose in life, that he knew of. Sure, he was a mechanic, and he loved it, but...what does that even mean in life? Anyone could do it if they had the hands. But the Prince...his Shield...hell even their butler. So when he saw that creature charging for that stick up the ass tree, all he could think of was, well, he wasn’t even thinking. All his instincts kicked in, and soon he had his javelin up and jabbed it’s metal like body between the mouth. But in the end, the creature got him good.

He knew Clarus well, had known him for a good portion of his life, and wasn’t terribly surprised when he found the other man stepping at the same time he did, keeping the distance between them the same. A hand rested against his waist. He did enjoy the contact, of course, though the hand was slightly unexpected.

He raised his head, looking at the smile that curled the other’s lips. “I believe that was a kiss,” he answered back levelly.

“And is there something that brought it on? Or...something you’ve been thinking about?” Clarus asked, meeting Wes’ gaze and slowly bringing his other hand up.
