Hi!! May I ask a headcanons on the characters' mounts, please? Tarnished has Torrent, Radahn has Leonard, Latenna has Lobo the wolf, but what about others? Do they treat their mounts as a mere transports or as a beloved spoiled pets? Of which species? For the characters, Mohg and Varrè, of course ❣️ + Morgott and Godrick, maybe, if you feel like adding them too 🥺
Thank you so much for waiting patiently! My apologies on falling behind, I thought I saved the answer in drafts but Tumblr decided I did not.
Still I did think very hard about this one! For the examples you give, the others have such sweet relationships, Leonard being Radahn's beloved childhood horse that he specifically mastered a type of magic just for him! And Latenna literally calls Lobo her better half, he was probably her legs for so long, he's definitely a service animal as much as one could have in Elden ring! It's hard to give some of them official mounts to match such companionship but I'll give my thoughts!
Varré:
No specific companion, but he is very pleasant with Torrent and Kalé's Donkey. He usually has Rowa fruit in his pockets, happy to slip them treats and give them a pet behind the ear. No specific animal to his name, but he can read equestrians quite well. He can't help but spoil them behind the owners back then act surprised (but very smug) that their mounts favor him more than their owners. Unfortunately there isn't exactly a safe place to keep such creatures in the dynasty, so if the Tarnished pulls Torrent out in front of him, expect Varré to start bossing them about properly caring for the sweet creature.
Godrick;
Being royalty comes with many chances of being around horses. To him even before grafting, the more impressive the lineage of the horse, the more he wished to show it off. It's definitely a status symbol, sometimes having Draconic Horses parade him around when he began grafting (the proper sentinels were usually the ones holding the reigns proper and leading the creature who would otherwise buck off the boisterous Godrick) When he did get to his current size now, it was no longer an option to ride even the largest of purebreds. Still given the chance he would still keep them around as status rather than actual enjoyment of the animals themselves(if he could, he would be elated at the idea of taming a dragon enough to ride it into battle one day)
Morgott:
For both he and Mohg, both would not exactly encounter anything resembling a mount in the sewers. The creatures we do find; giant rats and lobsters, both are extremely hostile. At least for Morgott, when taking his place as the Veiled Monarch, he would have to be escorted or have a carriage pulled. Some spooked around him, not seeing under the veil but still sensing something off. The Night's Calvary is a different story; working alongside the "fell omen" they're desensitized to him. He doesn't openly engage with them but I think to some degree he finds them as beautiful elegant and strong creatures who work very hard. The Calvary may find extra fruit in the horses feed later.
Mohg;
A similar tale, but I don't see him even attempting to ride anything. I do enjoy when some give him a sewer rat who is tame enough to allow Mohg to be around it, but it's to that extent. If anything, he allows creatures in the lake of blood, those that consume the Formless Mother's blood don't attack him or his followers who have also undergone the ritual. It's why he's allowed them to stay. Unfortunately by the time I see him finally comfortable around animals, he's far too large to even think about it.
Thank you again for the ask anon!
