Ok, first off, I work from home.

Secondly, I work at a company whose focus is surrounding ADHD advocacy. So, I know full well that I am in a incredible situation with this company and I am B L E S S E D to hell and back (...to...hell and back for being blessed-- brain I don't think-- ANYWAY.)

So we have a system to clock in, right? Makes sense.

I just have to log in and clock in when I begin working.

Except I keep forgetting to click that damn button, and it's never in the same exact way back to back. I have...

... forgotten to click it to start my day ...

... forgotten to stop it for my break...

... forgotten to start it after my break...

... and forgotten to click it after the end of my day...

And each time I have to leave a note explaining why I have to adjust my hours...

And now I just wonder what reaction I would get from my supervisor when they check my hours and they just see...

I must find out.

So, the spouse and I are working to fix our financial state before it goes up in flames, so we're making some big adult choices regarding our finances.

One of those choices involves a metric assfuck of paperwork.

No. I did not stutter.

A metric assfuck. (This is another ADHD story... In fact I'm fairly sure I shared it here but if I didn't... I'LL SHARE IT LATER!)

Anyway.

So we're going through signing, never mind that my given name is like a pain in the ass to fucking sign repeatedly.

But that wasn't even the worst part.

Do you know how hard it is for my dumbass brain to write "7-23-22" REPEATEDLY?

I fucked up a few.

Thank god for the ability to initial corrections on forms.

The lady walking us through it was amazing and fantastic and wonderful.

My wrist hurts. THERE WERE SO MANY SPACES TO SIGN.

7-23-22 is now my most hated date just because writing 23-22 just does not jive... I kept wanting to put 7-22-23.

I’ve written drafts for half of the scenes. I hate everything so far. That writer life. They are just my initial drafts, though. I think I’ll hate it less when I work out what I don’t like about the drafts!

That being said my job has gotten incredibly busy as there are some high priority things that need to get done for the sake of my team’s sanity that I’m spending hours working on almost every day. Usually stopping only when my brain has hit it’s critical limit of deep thought and focus. Which means I don’t usually have much left in me to write. Today I managed to take off after realizing I was at capacity and needed a day off. So I was able to write some.

I’ll admit that Chapter 5 isn’t nearly as exciting to write for me as Chapters 1 - 4 were. I haven’t quite figured out why. So maybe I’ll be tossing out all those scene drafts and just restructuring all of Chapter 5... ahahahahaha.

God I’m arguing with the whole chapter.

Some of y'all are eager to see how Paz and Boba handle meeting each other.

I just finished writing that SINGULAR SCENE.

It's 1700 words.

Well, I had most of it written by the time I had uploaded Chapter 3... only to realize I still needed to take a run through Chapter 4 for editing.

Editing.

The most boring thing on the planet.

But I finally managed to go through the whole thing, and Chapter 4 is now ready for reading!

It was supposed to initially be a chapter with 3-4 scenes but we were already nearing 7k words. Sooooo scenes 3 & 4 will just be Chapter 5 instead.

So, for those of you lining up to throw emotional support cookies at me in rage for Chapter 3~, you will be happy to know that I have all Chapter 4 scenes drafted!

Scene 1 is actually complete (and 4000 words, how did this happen?)

Scene 2 is currently a work in progress.

Scene 3 has its initial draft, but it may end up getting tucked into Chapter 5, instead. I'm not entirely sure.

Needless to say, you probably won't be waiting near as long for Chapter 4 as you were for Chapter 3.
