Well, due to the Quarantine on the city, we (me, still not many people have time to work on it) are polishing the tech demo to be delivered by the end of the month or beginning of the next.
We finished to removed some interfaces that took a lot of proccessing and it is now a more simple one, the Radar, Minimap & Menu were removed because of it.
Still have some problems with animations like fingers because the suit so it will be take care of it when the project is in a more advanced stage.
Drawing weapon is in a more advanced stage but still some glitches like drawing weapon in a "duck" state, it doesn´t translate in that case so at the moment it works perfectly if you draw the weapon in a iddle or running states; so same the state of Aim System, it will work if the weapon is drawn in a iddle and running position.
Sheat weapon works perfectly even in a state of aim, i had a headache when you sheet your weapon in the Aim state (i had to call the cammera for a neutral state in order to work).
The Foot Locking system is a more complex situation, sometimes it works, other it doesn´t and others is a mix of both, so, when we upgrade the PC we will rework with that part.
The AI System we had to rework it completly, had some issues with the old to the point of almost broke it; as we couldn´t found the reasson for the problem, it was better to make a new one and use i more simple mesh. We will work on the new AI as soon as we get the PC upgrade.
We´re planning to open a Kickstarter as soon we put the Tech Demo online, but, that part is a bit complicated cause, the only incentive to give for someone support the project is just the Tech Demo and not sure of how long it will take us to finish it (And taking to account that we still don´t have supporters on Patreon (we had 2 but due to some problems on their end they had to withdraw at the moment)).
We´re planning the preliminary or 1st phase of the kickstarter:
-Upgrade the PC is the primordial part.
-We don´t know how much assets we will use for the project and the characters need the licenses in order to be used (and i mean every thing that uses the characters like hair, clothing, weapons, besides the characters need a permition to be used) so we don´t know how much it will cost.
-We could create our own asset but, we need to upgrade the PC for it; the actual PC recovered from 5 crashes, a memory Ram port is damaged, both PCI ports are useless, we´re using a pseudo I3 proccessor, so, using ZBrush or Blender to create assets is out of the question at the moment.
-¿Why we´re still making renders of the character? because, it is part of the project since day one, we´re trying to tell a story and the rendering, animation and game is part of it. Besides, is a perfect way to break the routine and recharge when i´m blocked in the programming phase of the project
-¿Why are you making youtube videos about videogame news? it is a way to break the routine of the project, like the rendering images, and besides, ¿How can i make a game if i don´t know what is happening in that area?
