Lunch Run!
1.5 miles without stopping at a 10min mile pace
it was on a treadmill cause i don’t like running in the rain. However this treadmill kinda sucked and seemed harder on my ankles than road running. Next time I may consider just running in the rain. Course, if I slip and fall like I’m worried about, I’ll go back to running on a treadmill if it’s wet outside
Indy Mini WD4 - TEMPO 3
Did this run during lunch since I knew I had a happy hour to go to after work, and it’s too dark to run outside in the morning still. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go since it was kind of a weird time to do it, but turns out it went great!! And I ran outside and the weather was great! Around 30, but very slight wind, kept me cool and comfy :)
I started with my warmup mile, did some drills, and then got to work. I was surprised how much better this pace felt this week. I made sure to watch it though and not start too fast. When I saw my first mile split I knew I was right on the money, so all I had to do was maintain for 2 more miles.
I got tired in the third tempo mile, but I just told myself to keep going. I wanted to stop, but I didn’t! I just kept pushing and stayed with it, and soon enough I was done!! I am VERY happy with how this run went. Couldn’t have gone any more perfect :)
After work I was able to enjoy my beer with friends knowing the hard run was over. Happy Friday eve!! Can’t wait for the weekend!
If you run and don't post it, I think it still happened. But if you don't wanna run, talk yourself into it, and don't post that? It's like it never happened...
So I started the run streak challenge on Thursday and then... just quit? I mean, I didn't *just* quit, but I got super busy and didn't make time. So I started over today by literally running home at lunch to meet the chimney guy to make sure lighting a fire this winter won't burn my house down. Maybe I'll be able to carry it through the first few days of October, or maybe I'll do a 25 day run streak instead of 30. Either way, I'm back.
