#lumpy htf

I really like Lumpy’s old dinosaur design. Kinda wish it stayed or he became his own separate character. Would be pretty cool to have another tall character like Lumpy in the show. But I’m sure the cast is big enough so it most likely won’t happen.

But I do like to think him and Lumpy are kinda like brothers? Little hard to explain how I see them, but I think them being brothers would be kinda cool.

(I mean, I don’t even draw genitals on my characters anyways, so there’s nothing to really see but still)

Ohhhhhhh boy you just opened the floodgates with this one.

But yeah, Lumpy is my absolute favorite character! I think one glance at any of my socials will tell people that. He actually ties with Flippy for the top spot on my favorites list! (And I can’t choose one over the other, they’re both so good. I’ll have to post a tier list of my favorite HTF characters soon).

Anyways, short answer, he’s like me fr fr and he’s my comfort character. But long answer?

For one thing, I really like his design because he’s one of the Tree Friends that doesn’t use the typical mold a lot of the characters use. He’s the most uniquely shaped cause he’s the only tall character. (Which, I wonder why we haven’t had another tall character. I’d love to see another character with Lumpy’s height and general shape. Honestly I say bring back the dinosaur from the pilot and have him be the second tall character, but I highly doubt that’d happen)

He’s also the most stylish out of anyone cause he has the most outfit changes. My absolute favorite ones are the magician and mailman outfits. Because of all his outfits and careers, I have officially labeled Lumpy the “Barbie of the HTF Universe”. Although this does make me wish more characters had more outfit variations. (Although I understand why, it’s due to budget reasons and they’d have to make different assets for all the characters, yeah. It’s a lot).

And lastly, even though his personality is heavily inconsistent (especially in the TV series season) I think he’s extremely endearing. Lumpy, in my opinion, is at his best when he’s kinda dumb but still well meaning and kind. I think my absolute favorite Lumpy moment has to be in From A to Zoo when he’s comforting Flaky. It’s just so sweet. And that time he was playing around with the origami birds he made in “Home Is Where the Hurt Is”, that was cute.

For everything I love about him I do have equal gripes with him, but my complaints will be saved for a future post. Maybe. If I even decide to make it. But otherwise, I love my blue overgrown moose son. 💙
