It was her, the one who had visited his territory once, in search of food. It was good to see she was at the very least alive. Though last time they’d met, she seemed... lost? Maybe? Was that the word? At the very least she looked under fed.

This time though, she looked far healthier, and even had a spring in her step! Perhaps she’d just finished with a nice meal. He knows that’s something that always puts a spring in his step!

Mew doesn’t usually have nightmares. Their dreams are usually happy and bubbly and full of good things. The only times their nightmare materializes is when they are in a bad mood (which is rarely) or if Darkrai is nearby, and when they do have their nightmares, it’s bad. Vast dreamscapes filled with darkness and a slowly decomposing planet. The world itself seems to burn away right before them, with nothing they can do to stop it, and their only method of survival is breathing in a musky, burned and smoky air that radiates off of the decaying elements of nature around them.

And Starr herself is only human. She can’t see in the dark the way her partners can, but there’s always a touch of ambient light around, enough to let her make out lines and shapes and even colours once her eyes have adjusted. And she’s out at night often enough to be used to it. It’s not a superpower or anything. She just trips over slightly less things than someone who doesn’t bumble around in the dark at all would.
