hello ok i took a break from my gameathon to play a bunch of horror games for halloween and i ended up not finishing until now lmao. here’s some takes:
Lucid9: a v good visual novel. annoyingly its continuation is in dev hell so you kinda have to go into it knowing it doesnt currently have a satisfying conclusion, but i enjoyed it anyway. good spooky atmosphere, good characters. i had fun
Angels of Death: this was pretty fun but honestly also very predictable lmao. pretty short tho, a fun enough diversion that im not mad i played it
DISTRAINT: baby’s first critique of capitalism. not worth the few hours i spent on it. super trite and boring tbh
Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.8 Matsuribayashi: dontn really have anything to say here lmao. its a good ending! i dont understand people who are like “its UNREALISTIC” its literally the one good timeline. thats the point
Yuppie Psycho: really really good!! i played this twice all the way thru to get the different endings, its really compelling and fun tho i had some odd minor glitches occasionally. i recommend if ur ok with really dark themes
WORLD OF HORROR: i did a few playthrus of this, would like to play more sometime. definitely a good time but it gets repetitive pretty fast.
Fran Bow: i have some very minor issues with this game but overall its really really good. i really appreciate how up to interpretation practically everything in the game is. really dark so proceed with caution but definitely worthwhile if you dig the burtonesque aesthetic and all that
