Switching engines was a major decision during development, but DC, Welson, and the entire team at Magnus Games Studio made it happen. I’m truly amazed by their dedication and ability to deliver a game of such incredible quality. Falcom has released a two-minute trailer and new TV commercial for Kyoto Xanadu, featuring new gameplay cuts and the theme song “From ‘i'” by in-game virtual singer LinoN. The theme song is also available now to download or stream via music services like mora, music.jp, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

Kyoto Xanadu is due out for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam on July 16 in Japan and Asia. A western release is also planned.

The Switch version of Key-developed kinetic visual novel Augment Protocol will launch on October 1 Japan, publisher PROTOTYPE announced. It will cost 3,300 yen digitally, 3,740 yen at retail, and 10,780 yen for the limited edition.

Augment Protocol first launched for PC on November 28, 2025 in Japan.

In the near future, where eyes have been mechanized to perceive augmented reality (AR) indistinguishably from reality, there exists a city known as ‘District Zero’. Within District Zero, the protagonist, Kurauki Shion, works as a first-class investigator for the ADONIS corporation, safeguarding the city from potential threats. However, after becoming entangled in a conspiracy surrounding the ‘Swampman Incident’ he was assigned to investigate, Shion is demoted to a sinecure position at the OCTA branch. LiTMUS will release monster-raising simulation game Mamon King for Switch 2 on October 8, the company announced. A game-key card physical edition will also be available in Japan. Save data from the Switch version cannot be transferred to the Switch 2 version.

Dark fantasy tactical RPG Frosthaven will leave Early Access and launch for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 15, publisher Arc Games and developer Snapshot Games announced.

Frosthaven first launched in Early Access on July 31, 2025.

Publisher 4Divinity and developer Esschatology Entertainment have announced Guns of Eschaton, a mystical Western Soulslike first-person shooter and the final original universe envisioned by the late Viktor Antonov, the art director games like including Half-Life 2 and Dishonored.
