ASTRA, an original independent games label under Astro Production, has announced MoonHack, an “emotional cyber-noir adventure game” coming to PC via Steam in 2027. It will support English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

MoonHack is an emotional cyber-noir adventure game where songs rewrite the rules of the world.

Set in the year 2125, AI has optimized everything—labor, taxation, romance, emotions, even the choices that shape the future. In this world, even “loving what you love” is considered a crime. Alongside girls whose humanity has been classified as a crime, the player infiltrates a digital world governed by AI-enforced laws. Through songs, the rules behind a system that controls happiness will be rewritten. Narrative sequences intertwine with 3D rhythm-action gameplay synchronized to vocal performances, transforming music itself into the power of hacking. This is the girls’ hack—a rebellion against a future that has become too perfect.

Publisher Secret Mode and developers Fancy Games and Blackbird Interactive have released a Switch 2 version of cooperative horror adventure game Escape the Backrooms.

Escape the Backrooms first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam on August 11, 2022, followed by a full release on October 23, 2025. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions followed on May 28, 2026.

Switch 2 Launch Trailer

Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Shapefarm have announced the international voice cast and released the opening animation for classic retro anime-inspired cooperative adventure game Orbitals.

The game will feature localized voice-overs in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, German, and Brazilian Portuguese.

The English language cast includes:

Maki (voiced by Rebecca Wang) – A strong-headed mechanic and the youngest person in the Settlement.

Omura (voiced by Stephen Fu) – A quiet cartographer often lost in his own train of thought. Omura and Maki grew up in the Settlement together, like twins.

Togen (voiced by Jonathan Ha) – The quiet and reserved leader of the Settlement.

Kinakoko (voiced by Cassie Ewulu) – A loud and blunt mechanic who is kind… but in a rough way!

Jaga (voiced by Brent Mukai) – A larger-than-life merchant who Maki and Omura encounters during their adventure.

The Japanese voice cast includes Risa Kageyama, Ryota Ōsaka, Masaaki Mizunaka, Mayumi Oda, Tatsuya Kobayashi, and more.

Orbitals is due out for Switch 2 on September 3.

MangaGamer has announced that Rose Guns Days Season 2, the next chapter of Ryukishi07’s alternate history crime visual novel, will launch for PC via Steam and the MangaGamer Store on July 30, 2026. The announcement was made during the publisher’s Anime Expo 2026 panel, where pre-orders also opened.

Season 2 is the second of four planned chapters bringing 07th Expansion’s Rose Guns Days to modern PC storefronts. This release features updated visuals and support for Japanese, English, and Chinese.

Written by Ryukishi07, the creator of Higurashi When They Cry and Umineko When They Cry, Rose Guns Days is set in an alternate history following World War II. In this version of history, a natural disaster forces Japan to surrender before the atomic bombings, leaving the country divided between Chinese and American occupation zones as Chinese and American forces compete for influence.

The story follows war veteran Leo Shishigami and brothel proprietress Rose Haibara as they become caught in escalating gang conflicts throughout City 23. Season 2 continues that story with the remastered presentation introduced in the first chapter, including updated graphics and Japanese, English, and Chinese language support.
