Marvelous will host the “Story of Seasons 30th and Rune Factory 20th Anniversaries Special Live Stream” on August 24 at 20:00 JST, the company announced. You will be able to watch it on YouTube.

The broadcast will look back on the history of both the Story of Seasons (Bokujou Monogatari) and Rune Factory series, as well as announce the results of a character popularity poll, and the winners of a memories contest, among other viewer participation initiatives.

RS34 has announced Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order, a remake of the 3DS shoot ’em up Karous: The Beast of Re:Eden. It will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch in January 2027 in Japan, followed by PC via Steam in March 2027. A Campfire crowdfunding campaign seeking 2.5 million yen (approx. $15,804 USD) in funding, or 2.8 million yen (approx. $17,700 USD) including the PC version stretch goal, will begin on August 8.

The PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available both physically and digitally, while the PlayStation 4 version will be a digital-only release. A limited “Bird’s View Edition” will also be available for 12,800 yen, which includes a copy of the game, bonus CD, 36-page art book, four postcards, and an acrylic stand.

The game’s production schedule is as follows:

August 2026 – Crowdfunding campaign launched

September 2026 – Beta version completed

October 2026 – Master version completed

January 2026 – Consoles version released and crowdfunding rewards dispatched

March 2027 – PC (Steam) version released

Rather than a “simple port,” Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order is a remake and rearrangement that adds features and improvements, including the addition of new characters Luik and Teresa, as well as a new world that connects to the worlds of other RS34 shoot ’em ups rather than just Karous.

Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order is described as a game that combines traditional shoot ’em up action with RPG-style progression, where players can advance using either their own skills or by leveling up, upgrading equipment, and learning new sword skills.

Inside System will release a PlayStation 5 version of party-based dungeon RPG Brave Dungeon: The Meaning of Justice on August 8, the developer announced.

Brave Dungeon: The Meaning of Justice first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam on February 18, 2022, followed by a full release across Switch and PC on April 14, 2023.

What is the The Legend of Dark Witch Series?

The first game was developed by Japanese indie studio Inside System in 2014 and released as a 3DS download by CIRCLE Entertainment, and the series has sold over 450,000 copies.

What is Brave Dungeon?

Brave Dungeon, an offshoot of the Dark Witch series, was featured in Nindies, the predecessor to Nintendo’s Indie World, and was exhibited at the Nintendo booth during BitSummit. It has sold a total of 100,000 copies worldwide.

Overview

A sequel that inherits the basic system of the previous Brave Dungeon from the Dark Witch series. You can play in different stories and different systems with the scenarios of the three protagonists.

Al – Walk through the vast Forest of Miracles and look for the exit of the forest. We will proceed with the countless “IvyDoors” that block the way by using the limited number of “GrassKeys.” You can further your exploration by picking up the pieces of Shega scattered throughout the forest and creating Seama Items.

Klinsy – The goal is to get the “Unsealed Books” hidden in the three library stacks. There is a “Sealing Trap” in the library that tests the wisdom of intruders.

Photograph adventure game sequel TOEM 2 will launch for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC via Steam on September 29, developer Something We Made announced.

The fan translation group Cabal Translations has released an English patch for the Bandai 1999 Japan-exclusive Japanese PlayStation RPG London Seirei Tanteidan.

Released on GitHub, the patch translates the game under the title London Spirit Detectives. The project has been in development since 2019 and includes full story dialogue across every chapter, item, technique, and location names, newspapers and letters, battle animations, the title screen, and the game’s manual, which is included with the patch.

The patch also fixes an original game bug that could cause an NPC to disappear after being spoken to, preventing players from completing a side quest.

No artificial intelligence tools were used during the creation of the translation.

Originally released for the original PlayStation in 1999, London Seirei Tanteidan is a turn-based RPG set in Victorian-era London. The story follows an orphan recruited as the assistant to a renowned detective, who joins a group of children to investigate supernatural cases across the city. 

The Switch 2 version of Minecraft will launch for Switch 2 on October 27, developer Mojang Studios announced. A digital upgrade path will be available for Switch version owners, with details to be announced.

Developer NPC Studio has officially released the 1.0 version of their life-simulation RPG Fields of Mistria for PC via Steam, bringing it out of Early Access after two years. The studio also confirmed it will evaluate potential console ports following the full release.
