Ok, since I'm in the middle of a thunderstorm (luckily inside with rain lashing the windows and lightning forking horizontally, thunder shaking the house) here's an idea: A lightning elemental that comforts their partner who's terrified of storms. Eventually they come to feel invigorated by the energy of the storm instead of frightened, enjoying the light show while being wrapped in the slightly tingly embrace of their partner. Thunderstorms always make the elemental more... active, shall we say? And at other times, once the human is accustomed to it, the elemental lets little mini forks of lightning dance between their fingers to make their human smile sometimes. Bonus points if they make little tesla coil sounds too...

I grew up in a place which had A LOT of thunderstorms and I adore them, but for the last 14 years we've lived in a place with basically no thunderstorms, but it's 5:45 and I just had a fucking heart attack. A crack of thunder just went off so loud that I jolted out of a solid sleep with an absolutely pounding heart! Like I legitimately thought it was a bomb that had exploded for like a split second. Holy shit that was loud and it was literally right above the house. My mom who was watching the rain saw the lightning bolt and then basically immediately heard the crack of thunder. Hooooo my heart needs to calm the fuck down right now. I'm just completely awake right now
