Some #lostwaxcast 10K yellow gold pendants. Left to right, we have a #lapis leaf pendant, a #rosequartz arrowhead knapped by my mentor, Bill Tharpe. He's a Veteran, friend, and a really amazing teacher. A carved #tanzanite pendant in a fabricated 10K gold bezel. And a 10k gold #crescentmoon pendant that was cast a couple of years ago. Let me preface this by saying, I hate the word blessed all over the place. It gives me heartburn. It causes actual acid reflux. Everyone is in their own way, but why brag? Those of us who have worked for our skills are tired of hearing how blessed and talented we are, like we haven't busted our tail meeting those blessings halfway and cultivating those gifts for decades. BUT I'm very blessed to have the people in my life who have pushed me, dared me, taught me, and done all of that at a pace and distance I am comfortable with. This is hardly news, folks. It's by no means surprising. It is in no way a shock or alarming statement. But it looks like am back on my antique perfume bottle bullshit. I have been spending nights before I try to sleep or while I can't sleep carving wax things to act as lids for tiny antique bottles. I plan to cast all the things piling up. Hopefully sooner than later. The bottles are all upcycled antiques or vintage. So if you see a finished wax carved lid, it is what it is. Today I finished a #forgetmenot lid for a tiny jar, and a #magnolia lid for a larger jar. The forget me not jar is so tiny that can be filled with tiny gemstones or chips; they will not be removed. The larger magnolia jar would be awesome as an altar piece item or something to carry on a key ring or in your backpack or purse. Its neck is large enough to hold small things that may also wish be removed later. They will be cast and finished in #sterlingsilver. If it is a #workinprogress , it looks like a plain red wax lid. At this point, if you have an idea for a lid design or would like to own the bottle with a plain silver lid, DM to claim and put a down payment on it. There are only 2 styles of antique bottles I have that are multiples.
