Something some of you may not know. About 10 years ago a close friend committed suicide. The day I found out she was gone I was hiking with my husband and our boys. My oldest found the first heart....this tree with a heart in the center and then my phone rang.
She was my back up birthing coach for that son. She was my first friend in the place we lived and she meant a lot to me.
Now everytime we find a natural heart somewhere...I say it's Aunt JoAnna telling us she's there and she loves us.
The second I found on my hand while on a vacation. The third image was in Eleuthera Bahamas on a cave tour at Christmas time...we used to join her family at her parents house for the holidays...
And the last one was during my sons jaw surgery last year when everything went sideways. They had him intubated because he wouldnt stop bleeding and they had to open him a second time there was so much swelling they needed to keep him intubated and they picu felt because it was an intubation style they didnt know they kept him on a paralytic medication. He was so scared when he woke up he thought something really bad happened. He couldn't talk and you could see the panic in his eyes.
I wiped away some blood on his face and layed the cloth down... she was there with us then too.
Maybe it's just how I comfort myself...but I believe it is her way of telling us she's there...
