The warnings are from some of the themes in Mafuyu's story and from the content in the songs but I won't be going into intense detail, mostly summaries. I also want to be safe and not to accidentally hurt/trigger someone.

Like, obviously this is super speculative cause we’ve never met Parker and only know a bit about him 2nd hand

But we know he looked at pathetic drunken mess Arthur Lester, decided that was the man he wanted to be detectives with, and then somehow actually managed to drag him back into being a quasi-functional human being.

We also know he and Arthur were a very effective investigative team, so he probably Arthur balanced out in a lot of ways. Arthur is very reckless and stubborn and throws himself at his problems, maybe Parker was more wary and cautious, more of a planner. Arthur has a remarkable talent for getting people to hate him in a weirdly obsessive way, perhaps Parker had the genuine kind-hearted charisma.

And we know from part 39 that Parker was the one who did most of the physical intimidation and brute strength parts of the job, so he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty when it came to it.

And I feel like this paints a picture of a man who could get along well enough with the John Doe we have today…but maybe not the Entity he started as.

A big part of the reason Arthur and John’s relationship works is because they have basically the same response to feeling threatened: yell, scream, blame the other person for everything wrong in the world, hit where it hurts, give as good as they take, refuse to give an inch. And when they push too hard, this leads to some really horrible fights. But eventually they wear themselves out, all the feelings are out in the open, they pick themselves up, apologize, and move forward.

This dynamic is established very early on. In the first episode, John/the entity has all the knowledge, he knows more about what happened, about the supernatural, about Arthur’s surroundings. And he immediately uses this power to lie to and manipulate Arthur. But Arthur doesn’t let him keep that power over him for long. He gets his wits about him, establishes his own power as the one with the physical body here, and starts shoving back against John. Every time he does what John says, he makes it clear it’s because he has agreed it’s the best course of action. They establish a balance quickly.

This early in his independent existence, basically all John has is the King’s instincts of “humans are weaklings to be manipulated” and Arthur immediately asserts that that attitude is not going to stand with him, forcing John to rethink his relationship with humanity

Parker…likely wouldn’t have Arthur’s stubborn reckless audacity. I think he’s be more likely to respond with caution, bide his time and try not to make this thing mad until he can figure out how powerful it really is. With the lie that he was the one to kill Arthur, Parker might even extend compassion and empathy towards the entity, thinking that this thing has no memory of who he once was and no bodily autonomy at all, he’s probably really scared and covering it up.

This caution and empathy would serve Parker well in a whole lot of situations and probably save him from a lot that Arthur blunders into, but if he does a lot of what the entity tells him to do with little complaint…he’s going to be accidentally reinforcing the kings instincts that humans are to be bossed around instead of challenging them

And if bides his time until he’s fairly sure the entity can’t really hurt him and then starts pushing back and challenging him, that might feel like a betrayal or deception to the entity

I’m not sure exactly how things would go down, but I just think that Arthur was really the only person who could have set John on the right path by reckless challenging him from the beginning

Like, there’s a pretty sudden shift from season 1 Arthur-is-the-murder-happy-one to season 2 John-is-the-murder-happy-one but the shift makes sense! In season 1, the supernatural creatures are alien invaders into Arthur’s familiar world and he’s still freaking out that they exist in the first place, so he reacts to them with fear and violence. Meanwhile John is just as much an unwanted invader as they are and has no idea who he is except for a creeping suspicion that he might be one of them, so he’s sensitive about Arthur’s violence towards them

But then in season 2, Arthur’s no longer in his own world, he can’t rely on the familiar rules of human society so in that insecurity he reaches out to try and find allies. Plus he’s grown accustomed to the supernatural and has learned though John that even the KiY, the worst thing he’s ever encountered, can become a friend. On the other hand John is now in his own world, where he is the one who knows the rules and he’s needs to impress upon Arthur how dangerous it is, keep him safe. He knows who he is now, and while it’s bad, he still knows now that he isn’t one of the ordinary monsters they face and perhaps that lessens the empathy he can have for them

Then the switch to season 3 means it’s back to Arthur’s turn for murder-happiness but that’s just because he’s having a mental breakdown

Arthur and John also just have different priorities. Arthur’s a detective at heart, he always wants to know, to get all the answers and truth. Also, although his moments of truly being suicidal are rare (part 26 👀), he’s certainly not very precious about his own life or that worried about dying. Meanwhile, the very first seed that went into the John we know was being FUCKING TERRIFIED OF THE DARK WORLD. It is unfortunately one of the cornerstones of his new identity, that he knows exactly what happens when he dies and will do anything to avoid going back there (/not stay there, part 40 👀). His objective is to keep the two of them alive no matter what and the clash of that against Arthur’s desire for knowledge is the cause of most of their fights

As I am currently re-reading some of the HP books (as well as enjoying many headcanoned fanfics at the same time, especially that of @lov3nerdstuff ,@snapeaddict and 'The Snape Chronicles' on AO3), I cannot refrain from wondering how it came to that weird animosity between Harry and Snape. Because, honestly, they were so similiar to each other! I'll explain:

Even though I realise Snape saw James each time he was looking at Harry and was full of resentment towards him, while coping with his own difficulties all about protecting him and carrying the fate of Hogwarts on his shoulders as much as Dumbledore did - there could have been very well a chance that he and Harry would have gotten along. Why? Because both shared quite many character traits with each other (apart coming both from disadvanced background during childhood):

For instance - both held the value of LOYALTY in high esteem Snape was loyal to Lily, to Dumbledore, and subsequently to the Order and to the school and its students, by giving his reports, protecting the students from Death Eaters as much as he could etc.

Harry meanwhile was utterly loyal to his friends, the memory of his parents, his Hogwarts house, Dumbledore and of course to the cause of the War against Voldemort. He expressed his loyalty very often. And eventually, let's not forget whose name he gave to his son apart from that of Albus Dumbledore. This was perhaps the greatest expression of loyalty. To someone whose case he understood and internalised at last.

Second, obviously, COURAGE (or bravery). Severus' courage to serve as a spy under mortal danger goes undisputed. Also begging Voldemort and then Dumbledore to save Lily even though he was undoubtedly in the weaker position, requires a lot of courage. It takes courage to be there everytime Harry gets into danger, and an awful lot of uttermost courage and boldness to withstand Voldemort's attempts to penetrate his mind.

Harry's courage can be judged accordingly - fighting all the monsters on his way, leading the DA, opposing Umbridge, fighting to make the news of Voldemort's return known and all the sorts of other risky activities - you can't be in it and not be courageous. Snape is no coward - same goes to Harry.

Another trait would be CARE. How comes? I'd say it becomes clear in the DH book, if we don't count the numerous times Snape was there to guard students from imminent threats (like the troll, for instance, even though one could argue that this was his job as a teacher). I'd narrow it down to the sentence when, after being asked by Dumbledore why he was bothered by seeing people die as he watched plenty of such occurences, Severus answers, 'lately, only those who I could not save'. He wouldn't have to do that since he was appointed to guard Harry only. And yet he cared (even though there's no elaboration on who he tried to save and failed).

Harry cared deeply about his friends, and even his enemies - re saving Malfoy from the fire in the library (or was it the Room of Requirement?). And yes, he would have certainly signed Snape's statement on the 'lives he could not save' - Cedric Diggory, for example. Or Sirius.

And of course there is the willingness to SACRIFICE oneself for the sake of something greater. Harry knowingly went to Voldemort ready to die after learning that he was one of the Horcruxes. Snape was prepared not to survive his mission and still ready to complete it, for Lily's sake, for the cause's sake as to allow Harry to know the truth about how to defeat Voldemort.

The last commonality, in my opinion, would be MODESTY, or at least the LACK OF SELF-PRIDE. Severus did not seek acknowledgement or praise for his immensely important and brave actions. He would have died without anyone remaining to know of them if not for Harry being around in his last moments. He made Dumbledore swear not to reveal 'the best of him' to anyone. He didn't seek applause. He did what he had to do and would have taken his secret to his grave.

What about Harry? Despite Snape's claims he were 'arrogant and attention-seeking like his father', it's mentioned time and again how Harry was embrassed to show off his accomplishments, deeply burdened by the attention he received from students and adults alike for his 'chosen status' and seemed very disapproving of his role as 'the weapon against Voldemort. He, too, believed that he did what he had to do and nothing more.

True - Snape found expressing emotions openly appalling (even though he had had several impressive tantrums over the school years); Harry never managed to master occlumency or conceil his emotions or thoughts effectively and was definetly far from being a cunning or witty person. He was neither a bully nor a misanthrope and able to socialise in a healthy way, which Snape couldn't. Harry was all fire, seething with emotions and determination. Snape on the other hand made the impression of having a ' constant flow of low energy' inside him, as Alan Rickman out it in one of his interviews.

And yet I daresay that the commonalities between both of these great characters could have drawn them closer and eventually dissolve the mutual animosity, if not for Harry's uncontrolled youthful temper and Severus' bullheaded resentment.... But, alas, their creator decided differently....

(Still, it's somewhat comforting to have found that out. It clears the way for headcanons of Snape adopting Harry, for instance 😉)

So during the aftermath of the “What’s to come next in Season 2” trailer, I would like to take notes, and make possible predictions for the future of Season 3. Some, that are part of my reactions in a previous post.

Alright, first off, Glomgold is now delving deeper into dangerous territory. On Season 1, he was just shown as a greedy and comic relief foil to Scrooge. As we progress through Season 2, he develops into a kind of person that doesn’t kid around anymore(like that one time he made fun of Scrooge’s “death”), and now will take things more seriously after failing miserably several times, starting with an economic war with Scrooge. And you’re telling me, that he teamed up with the Beagle Boys, Magica de Spell, and Don Karnage in the trailer? Some of Duckburg’s most dangerous felonies to step into the city? Boy, Glomgold isn’t kidding around anymore.

Second, General Lunaris. LUNARIS. Boy, he’s the classic and hellbent type of villain that no one should definitely be messing around with. We’ve seen his true colors, and now we’re gonna see it in action, beginning with an invasion on Earth. There was this one scene in the trailer that pits Donald against the general himself. It’s Donald’s fight to actually be free from the mess he has faced in the past episodes, and Lunaris serves as the final obstacle. I mean, have you seen the golden strap on Donald’s beak? Let me just symbolize that strap as the agony and pain he’s been through. Will Donald be free from the mess he’s been through? Or will the poor sailor be chained in the golden chains of agony and pain forever?

Well, definitely not the forever part.

For some reason, with the alien invasion, and Donald being part of the scenario, there could be a chance that Duck Avenger could make his debut in the finale. *cue a space battle on a rocket*

But then again, I gotta admit, the invasion reminded me of Independence Day(movie).

Here’s something not related to the second analysis: I noticed parallelism of Scrooge’s rockets to the Moonlanders’. All in the same takeoff position they’re in, except different colors. Not important, just making a good observation.

Now for predictions, that you don’t have to agree on:

The McDuck family is planning to take a vacation from Duckburg, mainly Donald himself. The most likely location would be Cape Suzette. We saw character art of Kit and Molly Cunningham as adults today, along with the notorious Sky Pirates captain, Don Karnage. In the Season 1 finale, Donald showed a brochure that bolded the words, Cape Suzette. I can imagine Scrooge feeling intrigued by the economy of the city, while Donald peacefully enjoys a nice break from the mess he’s been through. We’ll also know on who trained Della to become a pilot(points to Baloo/Kit). Maybe we can see Shere Khan! In other words, I am excited and wonder on how this will be played out.

About Glomgold’s possible teamup with Magica, Don Karnage, and the Beagle Boys, you know, it kinda reminds me of the Fearsome Five. Glomgold just standing by the wall he exploded at, and allowing the others to walk pass by him with an ominous one-liner spilling out from his mouth, yep. It could foreshadow something similar to the Fearsome Five.

Speaking of the Fearsome Five....

Before you ask, “Where is Negaduck in the trailer or those character art panels?”

Here’s the thing, with Disney Afternoon nostalgia piled in front of our face, I sense that Negaduck could be the big villain of the next season. Glomgold’s unexpected teamup could foreshadow the Fearsome Five’s debut(or something similar to that), along with Gizmoduck and Darkwing’s classic rivalry. With that said, Negaduck could form his own “studio of destruction” and become some kind of director(I mean, Jim did direct a movie one time, according to someone’s question to Frank about the merchandise Jim made). The “studio” of his is where he makes his plans. First, execute your plans and make them fail miserably, second, direct them.

And who knows....perhaps Negaduck’s the big surprise waiting to be unraveled at the end of the S2 Finale, like he finally executes his very first plan from the sewers to gather more attention. Just like Della Duck’s reveal in the Season 1 Finale.

Besides, what could crash devilishly into the McDuck family’s vacation? Hopefully someone doesn’t. I mean, it’s not like Negaduck’s gonna travel around the world by sneaking onto the same plane with the McDuck family and gather info on attention level in each city/place they go to without getting spotted.
