Just because you lost your bending, doesn't mean you've lost your fight.

Korra and Tahno find themselves coping with the loss of their bending in a mutually destructive way. They can't probend; but they can still train, they can still fight. There's no ref in the arena to tell them how hard they're allowed to punch or kick or bite— Every shot counts as long as it lands.

#tahnorra #tahno #korra #tlok #lok #tlok edit #lok edit #tlok au #lok au #mine #The idea that morphed alongside this one is kinda of an altered universe where Korra loosing her bending is the cliff hanger of s1 and #becomes a focus of s2 as she struggles with it's impact #she reconnects with Tahno through happenstance and they indulge in one another's misery and pain #And they work through it as they fight bc it's all they have left #kinda like a fight club ha #ultimately Korra would become the avatar and reinstate bending for herself and Tahno #But I think it could have been cool to see a gritter and darker spin on the loss of bending and also drawn out the amon threat and plot #when i tell you these two haunt me #they haunt me #also in this they train and fight in the abandoned bending arena #Maybe Tahno in this helps Korra get her bending back and helps to fight Amon #Ik private lessons is a pretty significant phrase for this ship so I tried it for a spin and we went in an unexpected direction haha
