How about holding each other while slow dancing with Logicality please?
This one was a fun one, sorry that some angst sneaked into it at the very end, but thatâs just a tiny little pinch. Itâs also not the longest, but sometimes itâs better to just let the fic be the lenght it wasnts to be, you know? I hope youâll like it!

A dance
âDance with me?â
Logan looked up from the book he was reading. Patton was standing in front of him, a small smile on his face which made the logical side smile as well. It wasnât his usual smile, it was softer, his eyes holding so much warmth, when he was looking at Logan with that expression there was nothing he could do but be compelled to agree on the spot. That look always made him feel the same way a good cup of tea did on a cold rainy day.
At that point of his relationship with Patton he was forced to admit to himself that yes, that didnât make any sense but also yes, it was exactly how that look felt when it was directed at him. At that point, he was okay with just âdealing with itâ.
âOkay,â he answered simply.
Even though he trusted Patton, the fact that he didnât know what brought this on made him grow uneasy. Emotions were so tiring, never stopping, always seeming to be the opposite that they should be. A nuisance that had to be addressed constantly, ignored constantly or distracted from constantly.
Just an inconvenience.
Patton took him by the hand, making him take a few steps away from the couch he was previously sitting on before placing the hand he was holding on his waist.
It was almost routine, Logan in the leading position even though long ago it started with Patton being the one to lead. Patton never liked to take the leading position from him, though, even if it was just an illusion. It was enough struggle to convince him to dance back then, and Pattonâs intuition somehow knew that the other would not appreciate a hand on his waist.
Besides, Patton preferred to be held either way.
Sometime in his reminiscing, Logan picked up Pattonâs other hand and started to gently sway them; with no music there to set the tempo, there was no reason to rush.
Once again, the way they moved was almost a routine. The slow sway, the gentle hold of their hands, the minimal space between them that soon became non-existent as minutes went on and their stance changed from a proper one to just holding each other.
The position felt safe now, even though it took a long time for it to lose the itchy feeling on Loganâs skin in the past (he tried to forcefully ignore it, not giving Patton enough credit with the way he could somehow sense that his partner was uncomfortable and he always moved away. To be entirely honest, to this day Logan has no idea how on earth he managed to do it in a way that didnât made him feel like a bother for being touch-averse like that).
When Patton tightened his arms around his neck a bit more, Logan couldnât help but smile gently and lean down a bit to rest his head on his shoulder.
He felt all the tension leave Pattonâs body, almost making him fully in charge of keeping him upright.
Ah, so that is what this was all about.
They didnât realise when they had stopped swaying and began to just simply hold each other, but it didnât bother them. Patton started to gently tremble at some point, no sound leaving his mouth but tears still escaping his eyes and soaking into Loganâs shirt.
However long it took for him to calm down, it didnât matter. All that did was that when he finally loosened his hold and stepped back, taking one hand off of Loganâs shoulder to wipe the remaining stains from his face, he smiled at him once more, his usual spark back in his eyes, even though the smile itself was just as soft as the one he gave Logan at the beginning of their interaction.
âThank you, Loganâ, he said and hugged him once more, this time only briefly.
And if his lips gently touched Loganâs cheek for the first time, well, there was no way to confirm that, so he could have just imagined it.

On the ceiling in my bedroom
They would glow up in the dark
I had no idea that you and I were still light years apart
Well, stars don't look like that
At least they don't to me
--
Logan remembered lying on his bed, looking up at the various glow in the dark stars he had stuck up on his ceiling. They were arranged in various constellations and when Logan felt stressed he would lay down and name all of them, the way his mother used to do when he was younger. He could remember all of the stories behind him, from Orion the Hunter to Draco the dragon. He would repeat them under his breath, the tale of the stars, the stories that were spun of these shapes in the sky, and he wouldnât feel so alone. Logan didnât need friends as long as he had the stars.
---
As I grew older
I noticed less and less
The darkest nights are when the sky can really look its best
And that's when I saw you
As bright as you could be
--
As Logan grew older he threw himself into his studies. He started to forget about the stars, about the stories and their comfort. A large part of that was his motherâs death. After she passed, the stars were no longer able to bring the comfort they used to. Instead, their stories brought pain and tears. He wanted to forget about the stars, about his mother, because the pain was so much that it felt impossible to deal with. That was until he met Patton.

I thank my lucky stars that I discovered you
Like the first man on the moon, but you came out the blue
I thank my lucky stars that you're so close to me
Like Venus and Mercury, from the darkness to the deep
I thank my lucky stars
I thank my lucky stars

Patton was a light in his life. Through his witty puns, which Logan pretended to hate but secretly loved, to his bright personality, he became Loganâs friend very quickly. Patton was always there whenever Logan seemed to need him most. His motherâs death didnât seem as difficult to deal with when there was someone holding your hand as you cried, who gave you a cookie afterwards, who always tried to make you smile after the pain. Through Patton, Logan learned to love the stars again. He told Patton all of the stories his mother told him, of the stars and the universe, the facts and the discoveries. Soon the stars no longer hurt as much, for they reminded him of Patton as much as they did his mother, of late nights in the middle of a field with a telescope, looking at Mars through the lense with a smiling Patton beside him and him laying his head on his mother lap as she told him the tales of the stars.

Typical of me
I run before I walk
I'm on the moon without my suit, the world's worst astronaut
But I'll just float with you
In zero gravity

Falling in love with Patton seemed the most natural thing in the world. He could feel himself noticing the small dimples in Pattonâs cheeks when he smiled, the small gap between his teeth, the way his eyes sparkled when he laughed and the way his freckles made little constellations on his face. He loved the way he was so quick to make a pun, how he always seemed to know exactly what to say, and how he always had time to talk to everybody, even if was just to say hello. Logan loved the little things, how Patton gave little snorts when he laughed, how he gave the bracelet around his wrist a little twist whenever he was nervous, how he would fiddle with his hair or sometimes Loganâs when he was tired and how he give a little spin and jig when he was happy. For Logan, falling in love with Patton seemed as natural as the stars, and in his eyes Patton was a s beautiful as them.
--
It's our adventure
It's only just begun
And you and I can find some time to orbit 'round the sun
And I am never scared
As long as you're with me
--
Logan could remember every last detail of their first kiss. There were butterflies leading up to it, then a confession that left them both blushing, and before he knew it Patton was kissing him and the whole world stood still. There was nothing else except the two of them, the feeling of Pattonâs lips on his, the sweet smell of vanilla and the softness of Pattonâs hair as Logan ran his fingers through it, and Logan never wanted it to end. When it did, Logan swore he had never seen a prettier sight, for Patton looked radiant in his eyes, his eyes sparkling, his lips rosy and slightly swollen and a deep blush decorating his freckled cheeks. Logan knew that Patton was the only person that mattered to him at that moment, and he would think that for the rest of his life.

I thank my lucky stars that I discovered you
Like the first man on the moon, but you came out the blue
I thank my lucky stars that you're so close to me
Like Venus and Mercury, from the darkness to the deep

Logan and Patton moved in together shortly afterwards, and the next year was a whirlwind of delight. Logan swore there was nothing better than waking up every day and looking at the love of his life lying next to him, sleeping peacefully. He loved the small moments, coming home to find Patton dancing around the kitchen as he baked cookies, covered head to toes in flour, or finding the little notes of love that Patton left for Logan every morning before he went to work. But Loganâs favourite moments were the ones when they were lying in bed, looking at the stars on their bedroom ceiling and Logan telling Patton the stories of the stars. Just being able to hold Patton, to call him his boyfriend, to share these moments with him made Logan feel like the luckiest man on earth. Those moments made life worth living.

Take my hand, prepare for take-off
Don't look down, prepare for take-off
Take my hand, prepare for take-off
Prepare for take-off
--
They were married a year later. It was a small ceremony with their closest friends and family, but it was that best day of Loganâs life. The moment Patton walked down the aisle, looking absolutely breathtaking in a light blue suit, Logan felt it was just the two of them. Being able to express his love for Patton in front of a small crowd of people, to take Patton as his husband, to be able to promise to the love of his life his devotion and support through sickness and health, it made Loganâs heart burst with happiness. The ceremony went by without a hitch, and Logan felt like the luckiest man alive to be dancing with his husband (Logan loved those words â his husband) to their favourite songs. He smiled so much it hurt, but he couldnât stop, for Patton was the most handsome man alive in Loganâs opinion and his smile was so infectious.
Logan could hardly believe how incredibly lucky he was to be able to wake up day after day and see his husband lying next to him, to talk to Patton about his day over dinner, to be allowed to love and cherish this incredible man and to be loved and cherished back. Logan knew as he looked at Patton, that this was only the start of the many amazing years to come filled with love and happiness and that he would love Patton until the day he died.

Hereâs a little piece of the chapter.Â
Summary:Â
Loganâs having a conversation with Virgil, after heâs realised heâs in love with Patton, and heâs in panic.Â
(Transcriptions of the screenshots are included in the end)
Oblivious: A fragment
Virgil Class. He glanced at the name on the screen, reminding himself, once again, that he ought to delete the âclassâ, it had stayed there since first year of highschool, when they met. Virgil and him didnât share a class anymore, it was completely unnecessary to maintain the clarification. Nevertheless, heâd grown fond of the contact name.Â
Just as heâd grown fond of Patton. Maybe enamoured even.Â
Heâd rather not ponder on that for the reminder of the night, not if he wanted to have any hope of falling asleep.Â
Emotions were quite a ridiculous thing.
Transcription:Â
Logan: I need your expertise on a certain subject. I cannot yet disclose why. Mainly, because I require your reaction to be spontaneous and you have a tendency to overthink things. Please, bring Roman with you (provided that heâs available, of course), he may be able to contribute in ways we both canât. Thank you. Â
Logan: Suggested schedules:Â Tomorrow 9:30 am tomorrow 10:00 amÂ
Virgil: Okay
Virgil: You seriously need to stop texting me formal letters any time somethingâs upÂ
Virgil: Itâs unnervingÂ
Virgil: Also, wtf Â
Virgil: Did someone die or something?Â
Virgil: Since when have you ever needed Romanâs point of view?Â
Logan: My apologies for the letter formatting, as you call it. Â
Logan: To be precise, it isnât letter formatted. I merely wrote in a way that could convey all of the information as briefly and directly as possible.Â
Virgil: DudeÂ
Virgil: Just, donât write me long text at 2 30 in the morning Â
Virgil: texts*Â Â
Virgil: It makes me worryÂ
Virgil: Btw Â
Virgil: What are YOU doing awake? Â
Logan: That is of no consequence, and hypocritical on your part, as youâre also awake. Â
Logan: Sorry if I worried you. Even though I told you not to overthink. I understand it isnât something you can control. Â
Logan: Is this text length appropriate? Â
Virgil: Yeah, thatâs good Â
Virgil: But you do realise not telling me what you wanna talk about makes me anxious, right?Â
Logan: Iâd prefer to tell you in person, but, it is unrelated to you or our relationship. It pertains a personal matter of mine.Â
Logan: It isnât something necessarily bad. It is for me. But I imagine it might make you glad.Â
Virgil: OkayÂ
Virgil: Miss me with those cryptidsÂ
Virgil: But fine, Iâll trust youÂ
Virgil: Why do you want Roman to come?Â
Virgil: Not that Iâm complaining, but coming from you seems kinda weirdÂ
Logan: As I told you, I think he may be able to help. His fancifulness might finally be of some use. Â
Virgil: I wonât tell him you said thatÂ
Virgil: I think heâs free tomorrow morning Â
Virgil: Let me check if heâs asleepÂ
Virgil: Yup, he isÂ
Virgil: I said Tangled was garbage and he didnât scream, just mumbledÂ
Virgil: Iâll ask him tomorrow when he wakes up Â
Virgil: Be seeing you at 10
Virgil: The usual place?Â
Logan: Yes.Â
Logan: And, please, do try to get some rest. Sleeping is essential for your wellbeing.Â
Virgil: Screenshot - Logan - âThat is of no consequence, and hypocritical on your part, as youâre also awake.âÂ
Virgil: Youâre the one to talkÂ
Virgil: But, yeah, I willÂ
Virgil: Follow your own advice, thoughÂ
Logan: Iâll go to sleep momentarily.Â
Logan: Oh, and thank you for your support.Â
Logan: I hope I didnât worsen your anxiety with the conversation. Â
Death, big and or small, dangled above their heads daringly. The glossy white berries glared at him. Logan glared back. Fluttering leaves like eyelashes, it tried tempting with its mockery of puppy-dog eyes. He wasn't sure if he was being dared to eat the berries, or ignore the basic principles of consent. Neither option appealed.
Tradition.
Damned tradition.
What was so important about it? How could "But it's tradition!" be a valid argument when it's so vulnerable to subjectivity. Tradition was only obeyed when convenient, and burned and spit on otherwise (like it most often should be).
No.
He refused.
How was he expected to burden him with an unwanted kiss because of the mere pretence of seizure berries looming above the two, high and smug with tradition's permission? Mistletoe stole the meaning, the intimacy, and consent. A kiss under mistletoe was like assuming the ocean was only as deep as it was clear: That stars were only as big as your naked eyes told you so. Shallow as a puddle, small as a firefly, trivial as a handshake.
If a kiss ever were to happen between them (especially the first), it would be on their own terms, rather under an understanding of boundaries, with full knowledge of requited affections. And certainly not with an audience hidden horribly next to the lamp obnoxiously screeching and taking photos, Roman.
Logan side stepped out of the kitchen doorway.
When his eyes settled on Patton, still frozen in the doorway, his cold glare melted as the tension in his jaw slacked. Patton was taking quick shallow breaths that visibly flexed his rib cage. His eyes were wide, and they took a moment catching up to track Logan's movement.
Strangely, Logan felt himself not in the mood for giving a big lecture. Clutching the cup of coffee he came to the kitchen for, he escaped back to his room.
He refused. He ignored the mistletoe.
v^V^v^V^v
 December twenty third.
"Salutations, Patton," Logan said, leaning on the kitchen doorway with otherwise impeccable posture. A question was tucked under his tongue, ready to spit out at the first opportunity.
Patton startled mid-step as he looked through the cupboards. "Oh! Hiâ" Patton chirped, spinning on the balls of his feet to face him, "Oh, uh, Logy!" But he reflexively whipped back around as soon as he saw Logan. Finding Patton in the kitchen was unsurprising. Lately, Patton had been popping in and out of the kitchen very frequently. He always found some excuse, "Silly me, I forgot a napkin," and, "Silly me, I forgot my, uh, chopsticks?" Frankly, Logan didn't think Patton really was so forgetful, in his humble opinion.
Tipping his head back, Logan's stare locked on the white seizure berries. They had been joined by tinsel framing the doorway, as well as a few Christmas ornaments over the course of December. Everything was love heart themed or had a red pallet. Although cheesy and confusing (why were they here when they had a perfectly good Christmas treeâ), Logan had to admit, the decorations had a charm to it that the mistletoe wasn't contributing towards.
In his peripheral vision, he saw Patton preparing a mug of hot cocoa. Considering how many of those Patton had chugged in the last couple of hours, Logan was surprised he wasn't having a sugar rush. (It was also odd Patton wasn't regulating his intake of sugary treats.)
Sparing him a glance, Patton's stirring slowly halted. His eyes swept across the mistletoe, and lingered on Logan.
Then snapped back to hyper focus on the boiling kettle. Noisily, the spoon clinked as he stirred the milk and chocolate powder. Some spilt on the counter from his twitchy movements.
The kettle finished boiling. The clinking spoon became louder.
"Who hung up the mistletoe, Patton?" Logan eventually asked. (He'll admit he wasn't great at segways.) He had his suspicions with Roman, but concluded that it was a biased hypothesis considering any one of them could have done so. Asking Patton, a naturally honest person, was the obvious next step in finding the culprit.
Patton nearly dropped the kettle while he was pouring.
"Iâ" Patton set down the kettle, seemingly not trusting his hands. Red highlighted his freckles.
"I forgot the marshmallows," he muttered, and made to dart out of the room. But he paused, watching Logan expectantly.
"Who hung up the mistletoe?" Logan repeated. When silence took over, Logan finally rested his eyes on Patton and his fidgeting.
...
Patton caved easily. "I did..." he said. He couldn't help it. Not when that stare gave him so much attention.
What? That... made sense, but wasn't what Logan expected. The right puzzle pieces wanted to fit together, but they weren't the correct orientation yet.
"Why?" He said, as if the answer wasn't obvious. It threw off his assumption of the mistletoe being just a prank of some sort. Shoulders hunched, Patton whispered, "I was hoping that... the person I like would kiss me. But clearly..." and he trailed off.
Logan was so confused. Only because he couldn't scrunch his nose and eyebrows any further did he realise he had in the first place. He short circuited. "Why don't you just ask?" He said, baffled. Bowing his head, Patton watched his shuffling feet, too. "I don't want to be too forward," he shrugged.
"And this approach isn't forward?"
"W-well Iâ I um," he stammered, "I just thoughtâ If... he liked me, surely he'd take the opportunity to kiss me. It would be romantic." Patton's hands couldn't pick between playing with the hem of his shirt and rubbing his arms.
"I don't find anything about mistletoe to be romantic," Logan said bluntly. Directing his eyes back to the mistletoe overhead, he tried to take the pressure off Patton. Maybe the lack of his watch did make him more comfortable or he shocked him, because there was a long pause before Patton's feeble, "What?" Poor Patton was becoming wobbly.
Enough, Patton's nervousness was becoming contagious.
Logan's expression softened into a smile, which barely qualified as such, yet was genuine. Movements slow and obvious, he rested his hands on Patton's shoulders. With gentle coaxing, he guided Patton's shoulders to relax. Warmth from his palms seemed to help ease the tension further. Once again moving slow and obvious, he took both of Patton's hands away from where they tugged at his sleeves. In both hands, he clasped them protectively in a hold loose enough to shake off. Logan thought Patton needed gloves.
Intently, Patton watched him with widened eyes with widened pupils.
"Mistletoe," he began, "makes the kiss because of an obligation." Logan swiped his thumbs over Patton's chilly fingers. "Not because of love, like it should be," he softly explained in short. With a puff of warm air, Logan continued to rub warmth into Patton's hands. It seemed to work as Patton flushes pink.
A heartbeat of quiet. Not silence, a comfortable quiet.
"Who do you like?" Logan asked quietly, his hope leaking into his tone. "U-uhm," Patton's voice cracked. His frenzied eyes dashed around, however never left Logan's face. Especially not his docile smile.
"I l-like you," Logan took a leap of faith. Pink smudged across his cheeks and nose.
Patton squeaked, "O-Okay?"
"What doesâ whaâ what does that mean?"
"I like you, too," Patton said at last, sighing in relief.
Logan smiled infinitely brighter. So bright, the grin looked like an alien star on him. "In that case..." He drew Patton into his chest, into the kitchen doorway, under the mistletoe. "Can Iâ"
"Can I?" They both said in sync.
"Yesâ"
"Definitely."
Patton giggled, "Absolutely."
Logan began to lean down, and Patton was already on his tiptoes. Their lips meet halfway in a gentle press. Through the kiss, slow and sweet, Logan tasted the spoonful of chocolate Patton had sampled. Of course, he just thought it was the flavour of Patton. When they eventually broke apart, Logan said, "In the future, just talk to me. Yeah?"

Summary: Logan and Patton have a big day.Â
Notes: This is the second part of the Firsts series of prequels for my Dismantle the Gender Trinary series. For newcomers: Patton is a trans man, he and Logan are in love. In this world "mate" means roughly the same as "spouse" in our world.
âHello, Patton. It's lovely to see you again.â
Patton smiled nervously as he sat down in the chair opposite the doctor's desk. He reached out to squeeze the hand of the omega who had come in with him; Dr Hughes hadn't met him before, but she had heard enough from Patton to make a good guess.
âYou're Patton's boyfriend, I presume?â
âYes,â the omega said stiffly. âLogan.â
He seemed about to offer a last name, but bit it back at the last moment. That was⌠strange behaviour, but Dr Hughes was well used to hiding her concern behind a mask of professionalism.
âI have to say, I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon, Patton. As I explained last time, I cannot prescribe hormones for you without your parents' consent -â
âMy pack leader's consent,â Patton corrected quickly. âNot my parents. Just the alpha or omega in charge of my pack.â
âYes, but my understanding was that your parents weren't completely comfortable withâŚâ
Patton and Logan looked at each other, and suddenly Dr Hughes knew exactly what they were about to say.
âThat's why Logan's here,â Patton explained. âHe's my mate. He can consent to my treatment.â

Chapter 1: Thereâs No Forgetting You
Logan had stopped feeling the seasons changing.
For months, he had wasted far too much time and effort on doing things that made him happy. Eventually, he realized that whatever he did had no impact on his emotions or general well-being, so there was no point in spending his already limited schedule reaching for fleeting moments of happiness. Loganâs emotions, while muted, still came and went based on his accomplishments and mindset. It was a simple cause and effect, and there was no point in messing with that system. In a way, it freed him. Without having to worry about scheduling social engagements or alone time, he could pour all his effort into his work.
It wasnât that he left behind a part of himself in that apartment so long ago, he so often repeated over and over again, lying in bed throughout the night, eyes wide open. It wasnât that he was broken and couldnât mend the shattered pieces. He was still his own person.
It was just the product of a devastating loss he could never fully process.
After spending so much time with someone, Logan recognized that many of the things he repeatedly experienced were inextricably intertwined with his memories. That it was easier to block out the things that caused him pain than to remember them and feel his heart breaking all over again.
The petrichor after a spring shower was the first time they met. The color and smell of fallen autumn leaves were the same as the day when they found their perfect apartment. There were even some foods Logan could no longer eat without seeing through the eyes of his past self. So he trained himself to stop feeling. Every time he ran into something that triggered a memory soaked in melancholia, Logan pushed it out of his mind and focused on something else. Usually, it was work. Usually, it worked.
It took awhile, but eventually Logan stopped noticing the painful memories altogether, therefore no longer noticing things like the changing of seasons or the colors of the sky. The warm summer wind that brushed over him as he walked out of his local Starbucks might as well not have blown at all. The coffee in his hand was almost certainly made incorrectly. It didnât matter.
Logan walked down the street toward his apartment. At 4 oâclock on the Sunday before the last week of school, downtown was flooded with high schoolers desperate for a glimpse of what their summer nights would be like in just a few short days. A few of Loganâs students from the past year waved at him from outside the frozen yogurt shop. He smiled and politely waved back, then reminded himself to finish grading the final exams from their class when he got home. Â
Logan lost himself in his thoughts, which wasnât an uncommon occurrence. He wrote a mental list of everything he had to do by the end of the day and the week, and what to put in place before school ended so setting up for the beginning of next year went smoothly.
    âLogan?â
The sudden awakening from his autopilot stroll home startled him. He turned towards where he had heard whoever wanted to get his attention, and his stomach flipped and his mouth opened.
A shorter man with chestnut hair stood in front of him. He wore the same black hipster glasses as Logan and a striped blue T-shirt. As Logan met his gaze, he saw the otherâs eyes brighten and the corners of his mouth turn up.
And all at once, Loganâs barrier shattered, and all his feelings came flooding back.
~8 years earlier~
Logan usually loved the rain. It was always a calming presence, a quick way to wash off any doubts or anxieties. The sky greyed and the air went cold and sweet the morning of his first day at a new job in a brand new city and Logan thought it was a good sign.
He didnât realize it would make navigating the already confusing city even more difficult.
Fresh out of college with a degree in elementary education, Logan wandered downtown with a less than helpful map on his phone, sipping a bland coffee for the caffeine. He thought that the community center heâd be tutoring a small class in was a short walk from his new apartment, but he was on the street it was supposed to be located and couldnât see anything telling.
Logan sighed in exasperation. Staring at his phone, he wheeled around, and immediately slammed into another person walking out of the coffee shop. They both dropped their drinks and they splattered everywhere.
âOh my God, Iâm so sorry!â Logan tried to help pick up the mess as the other also apologized profusely. The stranger shuffled some papers and filed them away in his bag as Logan picked up and wiped off his coffee-speckled glasses.
âLet me buy you another drink,â the two said in unison. They looked up at each other and laughed sheepishly.
âOr we could both just get ours again,â offered the other, eyes shining and smile effortless. Logan was suddenly very aware of the coffee all over his jacket and the dark circles inevitably underneath his eyes. He smiled back, his face flushing a little, and tried to mess with his hair.
âI promise Iâm usually more aware of my surroundings,â Logan said, handing the stranger the last of his dampened papers. âIâm just having some trouble navigating this labyrinth of a city.â
The other laughed again, and Logan couldnât help but catch the contagious positivity this man seemed to constantly carry. âYeah, Iâve lived here my whole life, and if you donât know already know how to get around youâre basically screwed. If you need some help, I can point you in the right direction.â
Logan didnât like to ask for help. But he wanted to spend even a little more time with the stranger. He also really had no idea what he was doing, and knew that heâd never get to where he needed to be without some assistance.
âActually, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.â
âNo problem!â He stuck his hand out. âIâm Patton, by the way.â
Logan shook Pattonâs hand. âLogan Schlenke.â
âSo, Logan, where are you headed?â Patton asked as they both walked back into the coffee shop and got in line.
Logan looked down at his phone. âIâm trying to get to the Brighton Community Center on 3rd Street. Iâve been up and down this street, but the buildings start at 400 and the center is supposed to be 56.â
Patton nodded in understanding. âYeah, itâs on the other 3rd Street.â
    Logan raised an eyebrow.
âThe courthouse splits the street in two, but instead of renaming the pieces into East 3rd and West 3rd, they kept two separate roads with the same name,â explained Patton.
âThat seems unnecessarily complicated. Wouldnât it have saved time and effort to rename the streets?â
âYou would think.â Patton picked up his coffee. âAnyway, youâre just on the wrong 3rd.â
âIâm supposed to tutor a class there in half an hour! How far away is it?â Loganâs mind started churning, trying to come up with adjustments to the plan he had carefully crafted for the day.
âNo worries, itâs about a 15 minute walk from here. Iâm actually headed that way myself, I can walk you there if youâd like,â Patton said, holding the door open.    Â
Loganâs heart skipped a beat. âI would appreciate that. Knowing myself, Iâd just get lost again.â
Patton chuckled. âYou canât miss it. Itâs a straight shot from here.â
âThatâs never really been my strong suit, either.â
Patton laughed again, really laughed. Head back, eyes closed, and Logan flushed with pride, knowing that Pattonâs laughter was because of him. They talked easily the whole walk, and when Logan reached his destination, they exchanged numbers.
âJust in case you have any more navigation troubles,â Patton explained.
They both knew it wouldnât be used just for navigation help.
After that, they were inseparable. Nobody really expected it to last long, least of all the two of them. From the outside, it was an interim relationship; someone to vent to after a long day, to bring as dates to other peopleâs weddings. But as one year passed, then two, they continued strong.
Loganâs friends would say that he was happiest when Patton was around. Friends of Patton would say Logan brought the best out of him. Even though they seemed to be complete opposites, they fit together naturally and comfortably.
Logan had wondered many times over if the situation would have changed had they taken their bond more seriously when they first met. If they hadnât dismissed their differences as opposites attracting, if they had taken action to resolve the conflictions early on or if they had decided to part ways earlier, if they made sure they wanted the same things out of their futures. If.
    If only.
Logan would talk about the different apartments, homes, condos he could inhabit in big cities across the country, and Patton never even thought to mention wanting to stay put and live close to his family. Patton would mention how heâd raise his future kids and Logan only thought about how much easier it would be for him when he didnât have to deal with taking care of children.    Â
But when they realized they couldnât fit into each otherâs envisioned futures, it was too late. They were both too far gone.
Logan tried to ignore it. Still, there was this constant nagging voice in the back of his head, telling him that the longer he put off dealing with their problems, the harder it would hit when they inevitably came to it.
It wasnât until Logan saw it start to affect Patton that he knew he had to get out. He couldnât stand seeing Patton so unhappy. Logan knew what Patton wanted, and he would never take away an opportunity for him to have it. And since Logan wasnât willing to give up what he wanted, he knew the only way to give them both a chance at happiness was to remove himself from the equation.
So, when Patton was out of the apartment for the day, Logan took out two suitcases and started packing. He wrote a note explaining everything to Patton and left it in the kitchen. He decided to leave quickly, quietly, and cleanly. Rip off the Band-Aid. It was the option that would hurt the least.
Or it would have been, had Patton not come home early.
Logan stacked his immaculately folded clothes into his suitcase. His heart was pounding, but he forced himself to focus on the task at hand. He hadnât heard the front door open, so he jumped when Patton burst into the room, holding the note from the kitchen.
A beat passed as they locked eyes. Logan stared at him like a deer in headlights, trying not to shrivel up at the worry, betrayal, and unfallen tears in his gaze.
Patton was the first to break the silence. âYouâre leaving and youâre telling me with a note? Youâre not even going to break up with me in person?â
Logan tore himself away from Pattonâs stare and gathered up the last of his clothes. âIt was the easiest way to do this.â
âItâs not the easy way, itâs the cowardly way! Logan, why are you leaving?!â
Logan bit his lip as tears welled in his eyes. He couldnât break now, because if he broke in front of Patton heâd convince him to stay.
And Logan wouldnât do that to Patton.
âThis isnât going to work. Weâve ignored our differences for too long. We never should have let it go this far.â Logan tried not to be too harsh, but if Patton hated him a little bit afterwards, maybe he wouldnât miss Logan so much.
âWhat do you mean it isnât going to work?â Patton asked, his first tear falling. âWeâve made it work for four years!â
âAnd we canât go much longer!â Logan put his head back. This was exactly what he wanted to avoid. âWe want different things. We canât keep pretending like weâll stay happy forever when we donât envision the same future.â
Patton now had his arms wrapped around himself, tears streaming down his face. âLogan, please ââ
âYou want a big wedding, this huge celebration with all your friends and family, and I want a small, intimate ceremony! You want a house full of pets, and I only think I could handle a cat, but youâre allergic! You want to stay here so you can be close to your family and I want to travel and experience living in different places! You need someone who works a nine to five and has weekends off and I need someone who understands I canât control my hours! You want kids and that terrifies me!â
âWe donât need to have any of that! Iâll change, if thatâs what you want. Is that what itâll take to get you to stay?!â
âNo!â Logan finally turned to look at Patton. âI donât want to change you! I want you to find someone whoâll give you what you want! I want you to have a life where you have what makes you happy, and I canât give that to you. Iâd never forgive myself if I took that possibility away from you!â
Patton shook his head incredulously. âLogan, you make me happy! Why wonât you believe that I would give up all that to be with you?â
Logan picked up both his suitcases and walked out of the bedroom. âI wonât make you happy if you give up what you want for me. I promise, this is for the best.â
Patton stood in his way, the complexion so often smiling being morphed by his heartache. âWhy do you get to decide whatâs best for me?! Logan, please, donât go!â
Logan pushed past Patton as the tears he had been holding back finally fell. He stopped at the doorway.
âIâm sorry,â he choked out. Patton said nothing, and as the door shut behind Logan, he sobbed, sinking to his knees.
As soon as Logan left the apartment, he completely fell apart. He walked through the lobby of his apartment building, tears blurring his vision and coating his cheeks. Drenched inside and out from the sorrow and the rain outside, he threw his bags into the trunk of his car and collapsed on the steering wheel, shaking and sobbing and hurting, hurting so completely and throughout his entire body. Logan could literally feel every part of him aching with the pain.
He let himself grieve for a few minutes. He then forced himself to breathe and calm down. When he felt stable enough to drive, he put his key into the ignition and started the car.
Logan thought about all the times he had left this building early in the morning, leaving breakfast on the table and a kiss on a sleeping Pattonâs forehead. He forced the memory out of his mind and kept driving until he could no longer see the past he was leaving behind.
AHHHH!!! Here it is, the second part to By Any Other Pet Name!! Iâm so sorry this took so long??? Lifeâs been wack over here. College is hard. Any way, I hope yâall enjoy this!! (This starts right after part 1)

Patton tried his best not to scream into the pillow he had pressed to his face. He had been minding his own business, just idly tidying up the living room as he sang to himself, and he had taken a moment to sit on the couch when Logan had come down the stairs. That in itself wasnât the problem, no. It was what Logan had said.
âPatton, sweetheart, could you help me real quick?â
Patton froze, his heart rate skyrocketing as he could feel his face turn bright red. He had turned, seeing that Logan looked rumpled, as if he had been sitting in one spot for too long, and he wasnât even looking at Patton. He didnât even seem to know what he had said. Patton debated for a moment, before slowly saying, âYes, dear?â
Logan hadnât reacted, only walking closer to ask about some fact or information for the script, and Patton had helped and sent him on his way, getting away with calling Logan âhon.â He thought that he would survive the encounter with just being called âsweetheartâ but then Logan had to go an call him âdear!â And squeeze his shoulder! As soon as Logan was out of the room, Patton had slammed his face into a pillow to hide the blush that was no doubt taking over his entire face.
In truth, Patton wasnât entirely surprised. Logan had been slightly out of it, focused more on the script than he was the world around him. Of course, one of his little nicknames for Patton would slip out. What really got to Patton was the⌠the domesticity of them. He wasnât dense, he had heard and understood a few of Loganâs aborted attempts at nicknames that didnât pass what Patton had termed the âLogan Level of Sentiment.â Anything that was too sentimental or soft was cut off before it fully left Loganâs mouth, leaving him to say small things like âPatâ or âMoâ or, Pattonâs favorite, âPatty.â Which meant the few times he did call Patton something sentimental, even accidentally, it flustered them both.
Like the time he had Patton âhoney.â Patton knew that Roman and Virgil had set them up for that one, and while some part of him was giddy that Logan had seemingly called him that, the panicked way Logan had left the room had made him more worried than anything.
He knew that Logan wasnât the best at emotions, and Patton had guessed that the nicknames were Loganâs way of easing himself into being friendlier and more relaxed with the other sides. He didnât want to ruin Loganâs progress by pushing him to call him nicknames that bordered the sentiment level, or that seemed too romantic.
Patton leaned back with a wistful sigh, looking up at the ceiling. Oh, how he wished those nicknames would be romantic. He had liked Logan for so long and had just come to terms with the fact that he maybe loved Logan, and the nicknames didnât help. Logan was just so sweet with them! He always had this small little smile, his eyes soft and voice gentle, and it made Patton weak at the knees every time. And that was for stuff like âPatty!â He knew that it would kill him if Logan ever went further than that, but he could dream, right?
Patton pushed himself off the couch, determined. He could dream, yes, but he couldnât push Logan. Heâd let Logan go at his own pace with the nicknames, and not expect anything more from him. It was just friendliness from Loganâs side, anyway.
As he went up the stairs and towards the sidesâ rooms, Patton nodded to himself with a small smile. He wouldnât push Logan, but that didnât mean he couldnât talk with someone else about it.
***
âAnd then! Then, he called me dear!â Patton exclaimed, throwing his arms wide as he fell back against Romanâs bed.
He had planned to talk to Virgil about it, but when he saw that the anxious sideâs door was open, he didnât even pause in his stride as he changed course to Romanâs door. There he found both sides, Roman with his hair pulled back by a headband, and Virgil with a face mask on and applying one to Romanâs face.
They had quickly pulled Patton into their little spa session, pulling his curls back and giving him a face mask as he dived into the story of what just occurred.
Roman leaned over him on the bed, giggling at his slightly disgruntled expression. âHow truly awful of him, Padre, to call you that.â
Virgil nodded, not looking up from where he was painting Pattonâs nails. âTerrible. How could he.â
Patton huffed, before laughing a bit. âOh, I know itâs not bad, honestly. I just⌠oh, it does something to me, yâknow?â
He sat up, and Virgil paused in his painting to look at him. Roman sat back, nodding for him to continue.
âEvery time he uses one of those nicknames, it gives me butterflies. I donât know why though! I like him, I do, and that could explain some of it, but the fluttering, and the way my face goes red? Those donât make sense!â Patton pouted, tapping the fingers not painted against his leg. âTheyâre just nicknames. Nicknames shouldnât make me feel like that.â
Virgil and Roman shared a look. âPat,â Virgil started softly, âHave you considered that they arenât nicknames?â
âWhat else could they be?â
Here, Roman leaned forward, resting a hand on Pattonâs knee. âTheyâre pet names, Patton. Thatâs what they are.â
Patton shook his head, ignoring the little seed of hope in his chest. âWell, that wouldnât make sense. They canât be pet names, he has nicknames for you two, too, and I donât see you two getting all flustered about them!â
âPatton, he doesnât have nicknames for us.â Virgil said, confused.
âYeah, he down right refuses to, it seems.â Roman continued.
Patton furrowed his brows, confused. Logan didnât⌠now that he thought about it, Logan didnât seem to call the other two anything but their names. The few times he did for Roman, it was usually a thinly veiled insult during an argument that he later apologized for. Logan only had nicknamesâno, pet names, for Patton. The little bit of hope in his chest grew.
He sat back on his hands, suddenly breathless. âHuh.â
Roman and Virgil both smiled at him, and Roman patted his knee.
âSo,â Virgil said, picking Pattonâs hand back up to resume painting his nails, âWhat are you going to do about it?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean, what are you going to do about the pet names? Are you going to say them back?â
âYeah!â Roman cut in, punching a hand into the air. âYou should go and conquer his heart!â
Patton laughed a little, staring at his hand as Virgil added another stroke of dark blue paint. âI donât know about conquering, Ro. What if he doesnât like it? Are we sure I can even do it?â
âYou didnât seem to have any problem doing it earlier, and are you kidding?â Roman through his hands into the air. âHe gives you pet names, for Shakespeareâs sake! Of course, heâll like it!â
At Pattonâs uncertain look, Virgil said, âAt least start with nicknames. Theyâre personal, and itâll give you a better idea of how heâll react.â
âSomething other than Lo or L or Specs, though, we already use those.â Roman said.
Patton hummed, thinking it over. It couldnât hurt, right? If Logan liked them, he could ease his way into more pet names, ones like what Logan called him. And if Logan didnât like them, and asked him to stop? Well, no harm done! Sure, Patton would be a little hurt, but at least their friendship wouldnât be hurt. He nodded, mind made up.
âOk, Iâll try the nicknames, see how it goes.â
âCool.â Virgil said, dropping the nail polish brush back into the bottle and standing. âBe right back.â
âWhat-?â But Virgil was already out the door and Roman was picking up where he had left off, taking Pattonâs other hand and continue the even strokes Virgil had been doing.
Patton didnât have to wonder what he was doing for too long, because soon enough he could hear Virgil and a protesting Logan coming closer.
âI have work, Virgil, I need to finish the script!â
âYouâve been working all day, Logan, you need to take a break.â
âBut a spa break? I donât want-â
He cut off as Virgil pushed him into the room, and Patton was thankful for the face mask that covered his blush when he saw Logan and the events from earlier came rushing back to the forefront of his mind.
He smiled up at him, waving with the hand that Roman wasnât painting. âHey, Logan!â
Logan stared at him, mouth agape. After a moment, he seemed to collect himself, reaching up to adjust his glasses.
âI⌠I suppose I can take a small break for a spa session.â
Roman gave a quiet cheer, and Virgil grinned. âAwesome. Sit down, Iâm putting a face mask on you and youâre gonna deal with it.â
He settled on the bed across from Patton, letting Virgil pin his hair back and apply the face mask with little complaint. Roman conjured them some wine, and they sat and talked for a bit. Eventually, Patton got up to wash his face mask off, but decided to keep the head band on to keep his curls out of his face.
When he came back into the room, he took a moment to stare at Logan. He was glancing through the nail polish that Roman had, his glasses pushed up into his hair. Even with the face mask, he still looked pretty, and Patton took a deep breath to settle his heart rate a bit. He made eye contact with Roman, his nails a dark purple now, courtesy of Virgil, who glanced at Logan and gave Patton a quick thumbs up.
Patton nodded, steeled himself, and said, âHey, Lolo? Can I paint your nails?â
Had he not been looking for it, Patton might have missed Loganâs reaction. Logan froze, his eyes going wide and his cheeks flushing a light pink. It was quick though, as Logan took a breath and turned to Patton, giving him a small smile.
âOf course, Patton.â
Patton beamed at him, and he watched as the light pink turned a little darker. As he sat back on the bed, Patton let the hope in his chest grow a little bit bigger. Maybe there was something there. Maybe Logan liked him too.
Glancing at his own nails, Patton grinned, picked up a light blue polish, and got to work.
***
âLogy, do you have a sec?â
Patton had just popped his head into Loganâs room to see if he had time to help him with lunch but stopped short at what Logan was wearing. He had a three-piece slate gray suit on, a dark blue shirt underneath it. Logan was in the process of tying his tie, the black one with light blue stripes that Patton had gotten him for Christmas last year.
Patton sighed, stepping into the room. âOne of those debates, huh?â he asked quietly.
After the callback/wedding debate, Deceit and Logan had taken up debating each other in the courtroom. Sometimes it was for fun, and they would just wear their regular clothes, sometimes something more relaxed, depending on the topic. Other times though, the debate would be something more serious, something for Thomas, so they would get a bit more serious, a bit more dressed up. It looked that today was a serious debate today.
Logan, who had frozen when Patton had first spoken, seemed to catch himself, giving Patton a small smile and nodded, âUnfortunately, yes, it is, Pat. Iâm assuming you were going to ask for my help for lunch?â
Patton nodded, stepping closer and taking the half finished tie out of Loganâs hands. Absentmindedly finishing the knot, Patton said, âYeah, but no worries! You have important things to do right now.â
Logan stared at him a moment; cheeks slightly pink.
âHelping you is important too,â he said, âI can help with dinner tonight.â
Patton grinned up at him, feeling light. âOkay.â
âOkay.â Logan smiled.
They stared at each other a moment, just smiling, before Logan cleared his throat.
âI, uh⌠I should probably get going.â
Patton started, and realized he hadnât let go of Loganâs tie. âOh! Right, sorry.â
He quickly tucked the end of Loganâs tie into the vest of his suit, and fixed Loganâs collar before stepping back. âThere you go! Looking good, Lo!â
Logan nodded, clearing his throat again. He stepped around Patton and out of his room but paused in the doorway. âThank you, Patton. Save me some lunch?â
âOf course!â Patton bounced on his toes once, grinning at the little laugh Logan gave. Logan nodded again and moved to head towards the mindscapeâs courtroom. Patton followed him out of the room, calling after him, âYouâre gonna do great, honey!â
And if Pattonâs grinned widened at the way Logan tripped over his own feet a bit at the pet name? Well, Patton kept that little bit of knowledge to himself.
***
Patton hummed to himself, puttering around the kitchen. Lunch had come and gone long ago, and Patton was starting to work on dinner, and Logan still hadnât come out of the debate room with Deceit. He was a little worried, but two knew what they were doing and knew how to take care of themselves.
He heard heavy footsteps on the stairs and then someone enter the kitchen with a sigh. He turned, expecting Virgil after a nap or even Roman, but was pleasantly surprised to see Logan, still in his suit. That surprise was quickly replaced by concern at Loganâs rumpled appearance and tired expression, and he hurried over to the logical side.
âLo, are you okay?â His hands fluttered around Loganâs shoulders and face, unsure where to land, but they finally settled on his arms, Pattonâs thumbs rubbing up and down soothingly. Logan hummed, blinking slowly.
âYes, I am alright, Patton. JustâŚâ He and leaned down and forward to rest his forehead on Pattonâs shoulder, causing Pattonâs eyebrows to shoot up into his hairline. âJust tired.â
Patton hummed sympathetically, bringing his arms around Logan in a loose embrace. He rubbed Loganâs back, tilting his head to lean it against Loganâs. âThe debate was rough, Iâm guessing?â
Logan shrugged one shoulder, leaning more heavily into the embrace. âYes and no. It was long, and arduous, and Iâm hungry now, but,â Patton could feel Loganâs proud grin against his shoulder, âI won, so Iâm overall satisfied with the outcome.
Patton giggled. âIâm proud of you, hon.â
He felt Loganâs grin grow wider, and Loganâs arms came up around him to give him a quick squeeze before Logan stood back up. Patton dropped his arms, taking in Loganâs tired expression again.
âWhy donât you go take a nap, Logan? I can manage dinner on my own tonight.â
The small smile Logan had been sporting dropped into a frown for a moment, and he shook his head. âIâll be fine, Pat. I couldnât help you with lunch, and I said Iâll help with dinner.â
âLo, itâs fine, youâre tired, you donât have toââ
âPatton,â Logan cut him off, reaching forward to rest a hand on his arm. âI want to help, please?â
Patton ignored the heat in his face as he scrunched his mouth to one side, thinking. At Loganâs earnest expression, and the way he had started to gently rub his thumb back and forth on Pattonâs arm, Patton huffed out a breath.
âOkay. But if you get too tired, feel free to just go take a nap before dinner, alright?â
Logan smiled, small and happy. âAlright, Pat.â
They got to work, Logan leaving the suit jacket and vest folded over a chair and pushing up the sleeves of his shirt. Patton took a moment to appreciate Loganâs arms before getting back on task, giving Logan a knife and instructions to start dicing the vegetables. They mainly worked in silence, moving around each other in a familiarity made through countless meals made together. Sometimes the others would come and help, and theyâd make a whole night of cooking as a family, but often it was just Logan and Patton working together.
Eventually, they were able to put what had become a chicken and vegetable soup onto the heat, and as Patton was adjusting the heat, he called over his shoulder, âSweetheart, can you grab the timer for me?â
There was a clatter from the sink, where Logan had been putting some dishes, but a few moments later he was by Pattonâs side, timer in hand.
As Patton went to grab it, Logan, voice shaky, asked, âDid you call me sweetheart?â
Patton froze, rethinking the past minute, and cursed in his head. There went his plan to be subtle.
âIââ Patton sighed, taking the timer, setting a time, and putting it on the edge of the counter before turning to face Logan. âI did, yeah.â
Before Logan could say anything, Patton plowed ahead. âIâm sorry, I didnât mean to make you uncomfortable or anything, I just,â he sighed roughly, running a hand through his hair, âIâve liked you for a long time, and you were so sweet with your nicknames, and so I tried to give you some, but I guess me liking you influenced âem, huh? Again, Iâm sorry, the last thing I want to do is make you uncomfortable or hurt our friendship, so if you want to forget this happened, we can justââ
Loganâs hands cupped his face, and Patton cut off with a strangled noise. Logan was looking at him with such joy and fondness, and it made his breath catch in his throat.
âI donât want to forget it, love.â Logan said, causing another noise to leave Patton unbidden. Logan leaned forward, searching Pattonâs face for any sign of discomfort. His eyes flickered down to Pattonâs lips, and Pattonâs mouth went dry.
âCan IâŚ?â Logan asked quietly. Instead of answering, Patton leaned forward and closed the gap, delighting in the small gasp Logan gave. He pressed forward, hands coming up to cover Loganâs, and Logan seemed to snap out of his surprise. He pressed against Patton, eyes slipping shut. He tilted his head to deepen the kiss as he pressed Patton against the counter, grinning at the happy noise that Patton made. The clatter of the timer hitting the ground startled them both, causing them to break apart.
They stared at each other, breathless, before Patton started giggling, which quickly turned into bright laughter as he collapsed forward into Loganâs chest. Logan quickly joined in, laughing quietly as he wrapped his arms around Pattonâs waist. They stood there laughing for a while, and when their laughter finally died down Patton looked up at Logan with a bright grin.
âIâm guessing you donât mind the pet names then?â Patton asked, teasing tone coloring his voice. Logan snorted, pressing a quick kiss to Pattonâs forehead.
âAs long as you donât mind mine, dear.â Logan said, grin growing at the flush that quickly colored Pattonâs cheeks.
Patton huffed, slipping out of Loganâs arms to pick up the timer and set it back on the counter. He was quick to jump up and sit on the counter next to the timer, looking at Logan with a grin.
Logan stepped into the space between his legs, setting his arms around Pattonâs waist as Pattonâs arm came up to settle around Loganâs shoulders, one hand playing the hair at the nape of Loganâs neck. Logan couldnât keep the grin off his face as he pressed another kiss to Pattonâs cheek, delighted at the giggle it caused. They stayed like that, talking quietly and sharing small kisses until the timer went off.
Logan took the soup off the heat and called for the others before moving back to Patton and settling back into their earlier positions. That was how the others found them, and they both ignored how Remus cheered as Deceit muttered, âFinally,â and how Roman grumbled as he handed a smug Virgil a ten dollar bill. They were too wrapped up in each other as they passed out dinner and continued into movie night, passing each other smiles and pet names through out the night.
***
Patton was careful in opening the door with his hip, not wanting to spill the tea and water he was holding. He could hear the sink running in the connecting bathroom, and assumed Logan was brushing his teeth for the night. He set the tea down on Loganâs bed table and moved around the bed towards his.
A few months after they had gotten together, they had asked Roman to help them create a neutral room that wouldnât affect either of them, unlike their regular rooms do. Theyâre rooms became places for them to work or get away, but most nights found Patton and Logan in their shared room. He moved to set the water down but paused when he heard the door to the bathroom open.
âLove, you know you left your glasses case in the bathroom, right?â Logan said.
âCan you grab that for me, moonbeam?â Patton asked over his shoulder, setting the glass of water down.
âMoonbeam?â Logan asked, confusion and amusement clear in his voice.
Patton turned, shrugging with a grin. âYeah. You like space, so I thought âmoonbeamâ would be cute.â
Logan moved towards him, wrapping his arms around his waist, humming. âI do like space, but I like you even more, darling.â
Patton sputtered, flushing, then laughed as he lightly batted at Loganâs chest. âHey, Iâm trying to make you flustered, not the other way around!â
Logan grinned and pressed a kiss to Pattonâs forehead. âOf course, dear. You always do.â
Patton huffed, looping his arms around Loganâs neck. He pulled him down for a kiss and wasnât able to keep his smile at bay.
