My notes: it’s been a while since I’ve read this one too. I haven’t even read the last part yet! But I love the writing in this so much, it’s so good! Also we have: overpowered Tommy (he deserves it), Dream being an idiot (and an asshole), Philza desperately needing a hug, Wilbur being Wilbur, a lot of blood (fountains of em), some misunderstandings. Tommy collecting his family members with grabby hands, mistaken identity (it’s hilarious), this is just a reverse sbi adoption fic, Schlatt not having a heart attack (it’s worse), everyone being BAMF, angst, dark fluff, some magic and honestly I don’t even know what to tell you anymore you’ll just have to go read and see for yourself (you will not regret it, promise)! I’m gonna go read part 4 now (and reread part 3 as I realised I do not remember anything of it)

Sure, he had no qualifications, no references, and the quadrant’s sketchiest ID papers, but wasn’t everyone a little weird out here? It was hard to find people willing to sign several years of their life away to transport supplies to the outer systems, and Wilbur was enthusiastic, so there weren’t really any follow-up questions once he applied. No one even seemed to consider the possibility that he could be human.

Tommy felt his blood run cold. “Gift?” he asked, ignoring the way his voice cracked.

Summary:

The man sighed deeply, a look of disappointment on his face. “Phil, do you know what happened to the Goddess of Death’s husband?” The boy shook his head. His father leaned forward. “The other gods killed him.” Or: For centuries, the Goddess of Death's husband has been cursed with reincarnation, unable to ever reunite with his one true love. Luckily, their three sons are working to fix that.

Tommy wasn’t sure what he had been anticipating when he broke into Techno’s house. Maybe he was expecting his brother to kill him on sight, lodging a crossbow arrow straight between his eyes. Maybe he was expecting to be dragged back to exile, cursing and screaming the whole way. Mostly, he was just hoping that Techno wouldn't be home. Tommy had a half-baked plan to hide out in the piglin’s basement, squirreling away gapples and supplies until he could figure out something better.

He hadn’t even considered that Techno could be hibernating.

Or: Tommy has just escaped exile. What better place to hide than the house of his hibernating older brother?
