How can one person steal you so quickly?

So, I guess the one advantage of being between gigs is that I get a chance to browse through old photos taken. Thousands of photos are just sitting on my backups. I should delete the album with the wedding photos I was never paid for in 2012. What a waste. Here’s to a new life, job hunting from scratch and the last five years of hard work wiped off the slate by lockdowns and border closures. Not to mention a much-decreased bank balance here. Things can only get better. I bloody hope so. An old photo that was taken at a music gig a long time ago in Gauteng. I can’t remember the singers' name, and I think he is more than 10 years older. Cheers to good times. As always, I will be uploading the color version on the Facebook page. I heard an awesome song on the radio this morning. Today started with going for a walk with my smol one and this fluff ball. And by started I mean it took 2 hours for us to get ready for a 30 min walk 😂 . . . This afternoon I got out for an unexpected afternoon run. It was a nice run. Nothing amazing. Slow, but slow enough to think. I’ve honestly found this week really overwhelming. Im feeling for this in Melbourne/stage 4 restrictions. I’m not a fan of stage 3 but we’re all doing what we got to do. I’ve been feeling rubbish and not performing as well as i would like and then feeling rubbish about that. Today’s run reminded me of my why. I run because I love to run. I run for my mental health. I run for my physical health. I run to be the best me. I run because I can. I run 4 Bowie. The rest doesn’t matter. Yes I want to get faster, run further and run events [when safe to do so] but they’re not my why. There are going to be more hard days and that’s ok. On those hard days I need to remember this.
