The schools online-learning-platform (which is used by almost every school in my state) is down. Again. As if they hadn’t learned from Lockdown1.0

everything other than supermarkets, drugstores, pharmacies and doctors’ offices is closed. No more hair cuts for us. again.

uni is going on as usual. study videos, zoom-meetings, reading texts, clean-writing notes

I’m now officially 20 letters(?) into the japanese alphabet. please someone tell me that the only difference between the Katakana for “shi” and”tsu” is that the little lines for “tsu” are more vertically than those for “shi” that are somewhat diagonally.

I’m procrastinating by writing this, but now i’m out of things to write

She wears headphones - so I literally only get the lyrics in her beautiful off key Yorkshire accent, interjected by comments to herself such as:

'Heck yeah my arms are going to be so good from this (kneading) '

and 'Sick, it's gone full windowpane'.

So and I realise three things every day:

1. @taylorswift is a poet and deserves all good things.

2. My fiancee is a total dork in the best sense, and the absolute love of my life. I want to grow old listening to her baking in the kitchen and singing to herself for the joy of it just because she can.

3. She is surprisingly good at the high notes in Lover.

Covid19 may have meant we've had to postpone our wedding to help keep all those we love and want to share our day with safe.

But lockdown has meant I've got to spend way more time appreciating the little things, eating all this amazing homemade bread and falling in love more every day.

I never imagined painting would be such a relieving activity... I turn on some nice music and I get lost with my brushes for hours ❤️

I am grateful somehow for this lockdown... Due to so many reasons.. But especially for discovering one new activity that suits me perfectly.

March 23rd  2020

People keep coming into our house without being invited. The house is a jumbled mixture of our current house and my childhood home. Something is wrong with the door, but we can’t figure out what is wrong or how to fix it. First the visitors are friends and family members but soon strangers start arriving and they seem sinister. Their clothes are dirty, and they act aggressively.

 March 24th  2020 

I am at my deceased grandmother’s old apartment. It is small and cramped and everything is covered in beige and rose chintz. My grandmother is hosting a party complete with catering and waiting staff in full livery. I’m not sure how we can fit everyone into the apartment. Another problem is that the chandelier light fitting on the ceiling is covered with bats. The bats keep dropping to the floor and I have to rescue them from being stepped on by the party guests. They are small and soft with leathery wings. The lights from the chandelier hurt their eyes so I carry them into the bedroom and let them hang upside down in the wardrobe among my grandmother’s silk scarves.

 March 25th  2020 

I visit a supermarket but the only things on the shelves are Tide washing powder and lettuce. The aisles seem to continue forever and are abnormally tall. The place is as big as a cathedral, green walls kept fresh with humidifiers. When I look closer, I can see that the lettuce is growing out of the walls. I ask a staff member where the other things are, and she takes me all around the building finding groceries hidden amongst the plants.

 March 26th 2020 

I am in an abandoned street searching for a toilet and the only one I could find had glass walls. Instead of looking like a public restroom, it looks like the bathroom in my grandparents’ house with art deco tiles and a large rolltop bathtub with clawed feet. The bath is running and overflowing, flooding the room up to my knees. I try to turn off the taps, but they are stiff and rusty. The water level continues to rise. From the corner of my eye, I witness a shooting across the street. I hope that they don’t see me watching, but the walls are glass.
