A bit after joining the server Pearl asks X if he can give one of those to Scott. X is a little confused at first because Scott is very openly gay and Pearl is openly aroace. Though it's quickly cleared up when Pearl explains that she wasn't sure if the rule extended to platonic partners or was romantic partners only.

That same afternoon Scott gets an open "partner of a hermit" invitation and a message in the hc general chat clarifies that the rule includes partners of all shapes <3

Grian, Jimmy & Lizzie all grew up with each other. They'd usually hang out at Lizzie's because G & Jim didn't have the best home life's. One winter Lizzie's Mum decides to knit matching sweaters for the three of them [mainly to have an excuse to ensure G & Jim have proper cloths as G seems super uncomfortable in all the tight clothing he wears while Jimmy doesn't seem to have anything beyond like two T-shirts and pants]. Lizzie's is pink, Jimmy's is light blue and Grians is red! Lizzie ends up growing out of hers and Jimmy's burns when Evo falls but Grian still has and actively wears it! Though hus sweater too has gotten tight and there is a point at the end of season 10 were it rips under one armpit and G goes into a spiral because the sweater has become a major source of comfort over the years, as he started wearing it all the time again after he left the watchers & joined hermitcraft.

Cue cuddle pile with a bunch of Hermits, giving G some much needed comfort, Joel on the phone telling Lizzie & Jimmy to come over and join in and Joe & Cleo searching for a matching thread that they can fix the sweater with :3

Important is that no matter what the answer is, it is respected. If they're like Joel and love a big surprise party that causes the entire server to have severe lag then that is what they get. If they're like xB and detest their birthday, refusing to tell anyone the date, then his Birthday isnt celebrated all. And if they're like Etho and so ancient, they don't even remember their birthday, well then his birthday just has to be every day!
