It was Lily’s third year of being able to explore Hogsmeade village, but her first entering the little town as a Prefect. And though she knew that she didn’t need to change anything about herself to be good at her job, Lily also knew that she didn’t have a reputation for being the most fun or adventurous. She didn’t see why she needed either of those qualities to be taken seriously, but she’d been told people would respect her more if she took a risk now and then. That was how she’d found herself in Honeyduke’s, shiny badge pinned to her cloak, staring uncertainly at a wall full of assorted candies. “So... when they say Exploding Bon Bons, how long do I have to actually eat them before they try to hurt me?” she asked the person next to her, looking longingly at the orange and pineapple flavored white chocolate truffles. “Because I’m not a very fast eater.”
