I Wonder

Audrey: Jane is my best friend, it's not the the kind of scaring that you do and you know it. No one else is afraid of me! I'm a princess, Mal. I'm going to in charge of a lot of things one day and that's important. I certainly hope the /worst/ thing I could do as a future queen would be to wear too much pink.

Audrey: Oh :( I know I'm better than most people, but I don't want anyone to be intimidated by me! I want them to LOVE me because of how kind and beautiful and good I am. Not because I'm intimidating or mean like Mal is!

Audrey: Also: Am I intimidating?

Audrey: No, it's not. I don't scare anyone. Except maybe Jane, because she's scared of everything. But I'm nice and I've never intimidated anyone in my life! I don't even KNOW how to intimidate other people. I stay on top by being amazing. I don't need to be unkind to get there.

Audrey: Gosh, I don't think about that much. Hmm, I guess not. As long as you aren't using it to get a leg up on someone, a little bit of good luck can't be too bad?

Audrey: That's not a good thing to be good at. I'm not going to check anything. Not doing anything absolutely heinous just because you don't want to go back doesn't mean you're better for it. It means the Isle sucks, which we know already. Also spay paint, jumpscares and you mocking me ALL THE TIME and drawing your mother on things are all good enough reasons for me not to like you. I'm allowed to dislike things I find distasteful.

Audrey: lol! Even if I could assign potions homework, I'd never give you anything too bad.

Audrey: I'm not unwilling to accept something different, I'm unwilling to accept something BAD. I wouldn't treat you like you were bad if you were actually making an effort! I told you when you GOT here that I didn't mind that your mom tried to kill my parents but then you kept shoving it in my face anyway and even though Ben is always all "we should take pity on you and stuff because #trauma" You're scary and you like it and That's what I can't accept.

Audrey: Lol, everything usually does!

Audrey: Oh my goodness! That's so nice of you, James. You're going to be the perfect Valentine. 💟

Audrey: so what? Being bad still sucks, you're HERE to be good. Why are you clinging to badness so hard. It's been three years.

Audrey: That would be so great, James! Of course, I'll let you!

Audrey: Good is the new good.

Audrey: No, it doesn't. I really don't. Lies are bad and we all know that's NOT my thing.

Audrey: Nope 😊 I have no idea what you think it means. Why don't you tell me?
