Through this crazy time of transition between who I was and who I am becoming, God is taking me on a journey of discovering what makes me, me.
A large part of that lately has been discovering my spiritual giftings. Growing in both the prophetic and discernment.
This morning in church our wonderful pastor gave us, specifically the youth, an opportunity to give prophetic words to members of the church family. I felt prompted to give one for a lady, who I barely even knew, and I knew I had one, but didn't know what. So I jumped up and grabbed the mic without a clue of what was to come out of my mouth. I gave a simple word, just that God had all that she needed, for her walk with Him, her family and her marriage. When I got back to my seat I was hoping I had heard correctly and that my word wasn't just some generic something I'd come out with because I was put on the spot.
Another lady got up and also had a word for her, about how she had a mother's heart, given to her by God.
Later in the service this lady got up and in the mic, thanked us both for our words, because she had been struggling with feeling like she was a bad mother and wife and how those words had really met her where she was at.
After the service her husband also came and thanked me for my obedience and said my words had really caused a breakthrough today.
Encouraged to know that even when I'm not feeling up to it, and through this crazy season of uncertainty, that God is still doing big things in and through me.
