âSchool had never been his strong suit. Military training included a decent education, but where Toli excelled in combat, he failed in classes. The lapse in time between his basic training and beginning school at Llynhurst only seemed to make academics more difficult. A professor had suggested a tutor early on, and while this felt like a defeat, his latest grades indicated that it was time to accept it.
Toli wandered through the library, heading towards where the tutor said to meet. The setting was intimidating, almost, in that he felt too big for the aisles, too large of a presence in a place meant to be quiet and subdued. Each of his footsteps seemed to garner more attention, and he reached up to fiddle with a necklace that wasn't there. Well. This was going to be an adventure. He approached the designated table, giving a slight smile to the lone girl behind it.
"Stevie, yes?"
