coffee break
Elith waited patiently for her friend to arrive. She had never been so excited to get coffee before. Elith had never gone anywhere to meet someone before. She hoped that she could think of things to talk about, so that she wouldn’t bore Elijah. She wondered if Elijah was as nervous as she was. He was always so calm and collected that she doubted it, but it made her feel better to think that he was.
This morning she woke up and tried to dress casually, so that she wouldn’t appear too giddy. Elith believed she had done a good job, wearing a black crop top and only 4 long necklaces. She had painted her nails lavender, to add more color to her outfit.
Elijah would be here any minute. Her nerves started getting more intense. It was very new to her to meet someone whose company she enjoyed as much as she enjoyed Elijah’s. It was exciting but nerve wracking at the same time. She thought that their first encounter had gone fairly smoothly, but she wasn’t so confident that she could do the same this time around.
Elith had been in such deep thought she almost jumped out of her skin when she felt a tap on her shoulder.
