I noticed that in Lynn Painterâs books all of her main characters have some sort of familial issues except for Wes. I thought it was funny, I was blissfully ignorant, I was then promptly hit in the face with a bus by nothing like the movies.
if i knew how to edit n had the time to yall would come across the prettiest nothing like the movies edit to exagerado by cazuza your eyes have ever seen

I would take a bullet for them.
I finished a book a few hours ago and omg it was an emotional rollercoaster, one minute i was laughing the second later i was crying.
This a thank you edit to: @whatsamongus (for finding the pdf)
All I'm saying is that, if Liz knew that Wes was reminded of a movie quote because of their first kiss and was quoting that in his head while grinning like an idiot recalling the moment, she would not even have cared for his dad being there, she would've just jumped on him and started making out with his face.
I know my girl and she would have screamed how much she loved him right there and than for everyone to hear.
Dimples Not So Right
Guys, the photo is not mine
                                 Dimples Not So Right
Starring : Liz Buxbaum , Wes bennet
                                                    ---- LIZ ----
âHey Buxbaumâ, says my next-door neighbour with a grin so wicked I knew he was going to pull a prank , âYou know you donât really want to die in my front porchâ I say , almost too happy heâd think I just ate unicorns for breakfast âItâs going to be a bad omen for hell lying above my houseâ
âYou ok??â Wes asked after a long pause, he tilted his head the way he always did when I lied
âOf course, why wouldnât I my idiotâ, I wasnât
I donât want to lie to him he is my best friend slash enemy since 2nd grade. Life has not been so great but I had Wes. He made things betterâŠ. even though he didnât know half of it or any of it at all to be honest. I just canât seem to trust anyone not even the guy I had been friends with since forever.
âYou know you seem all happy and goofy as soon as you leave this street but âŠ.â, he stopped like he was trying to find words to say something and not at the same time, I squinted, ââŠ.something dosenât sit right with the way you are too overly jolly within this street âŠ.almost like too good to be trueâ, I knew he always figured things out even though even he didnât know what they were but⊠this time it felt like he knew exactly what but still choose to say it that way. Then suddenly, with the swift movement of the wind, I saw it, he did that thing where he changes his tone, mood and the environment around him completely, and I stood frozen. It always got me surprised when he did that. I loved it when he did that because most people fake it, but he⊠he made it feel so real it was like magic instead of âŠ
He then said with that magic âYou know you are going to miss the bus if u keep standing there rightâ I was suddenly pulled back to reality, I was still standing in the porch and he was already ready to go down the road, âLib as much as I love you we have a test in MATH FOR GODDNESS SAKE, and we both know we ainât toppers but we gotta atleast pass if we want to be together for more than the 16 years of the life we have already lived together right next to each otherâ.
âOk, ok, I am coming, I just zoned outâ, I said, laughing and running down the street as he snapped to realisation and began chasing after me
âYou know I can outrun all of your 5â4 with the snap of my fingers rightâ, he said holding me back by pulling on my backpack.
He was smiling, his face creased the way it always did when he is genuinely happy. I think he will never know how much I love him and the way he has always been there for me, always noticing when I was not okay
Â
                                                    ----- Wes ----
She did it again, she is not okayâŠ. That much is sure, I canât really say sheâs hiding something but she is for sure not ok. I really love herâŠ. I have ever since 2nd grade but I donât really think she loves me that way. I was thinking of telling her my feelings if she wasnât the way she has been for the past month, faking her jolliness, hiding her unease. As much as I wanted to tell her, I wanted her to feel better, I want to help her feel better. But her dimples did that thing again, they faded a shade and seemed a little too tight like they were forced. No one else noticed, but I did , I always didâŠ,she always did that when she was hiding something.
Classes start in 5 minutes students are requested to enter their classrooms and wait for their respective teachersâŠ
âUghhâ Liz says , her dimples are not tight anymore.
âThe devil announcements again, we have to go to classâ she continues reviewing the formula material tucked under her fingers in pressure.
I am going to confront her today, this has been going on for a month and I donât think it is good.
âYou are awfully quite since we entered school, nervous?â Damn right yes, I am nervous but not for the test
âKindaâ I say bringing up a small nervous chuckle.
This is it, today, right now, confront her idiot, you have been throwing it off for the entire day, I mutter to my self as she is looking up her NEXT TO BUY : BOOKSđ list online.
âHey , Libâ, I say trying to act a little normal but I think she noticed the nervousness of my voice and how serious I look, I tried not to but it just flows
She arched a brow and her gaze lingered a little, then she said âHmm? Something wrong?â
As in beat I replied âKinda, I have been meaning to ask you somethingâ Her eyebrows arched further almost like she was expecting either a good news or disaster
âYouâve been acting a little strange this past monthâŠ.âI say trying to sound casual and then, there her shoulders tensed up, I try to continue when a laugh cut me off
It was Lizâs laugh her dimples, one side tightened. Slightly darker. Wrong and she says âWhat do you mean I have been acting strange recently I am strange, Iâve always been strange. Thatâs not really newâ then she looks over and there , her dimples they changed a shade again they are more tense then usual
âDonât do that, donât laugh it off, donât try to change the topic. What is wrong Lib, you know you can tell meâ I say almost pleading
âNothing, I am perfectly normalâ she says, but her dimples donât
âYou know your dimples do that thing when you lieâŠâŠâŠâ I say âSo donât try to act okay with me when I can clearly know you arenâtâ And I continue âThey just didâ I continue leaving her speechless as what I just said hit her rock bottom and shes not tense anymore, sheâs not acting
âCome on I just want to help, I just want you to be okayâ I say
âYea I am not okay, my parents have been fighting everyday for years but recently its been different , like a ticking time bomb ready to explode and I think I have had enough already I just want them to get a divorce , they both obviously canât live without tearing each others lives apart, so why?â
She says this all with a completely neutral face like it was nothing then her expression changes something I canât read then suddenly she says âI know you have also been meaning to say something else, may as well say that to . No?â
I was taken aback, how did she know, I think the shock was clear in my face because she asked âYou know now its as clear as daylight so you canât even try to back out of itâ she says with a small chuckle and after a long silence, as if a wave splashed through me the words fell out
âI LOVE YOUâ I say shocking even myself and she said âI knowâŠâŠ. And I love you too, more than I can ever explainâ She says
We both sit there dumfounded as all of our secrets lie scattered in the golden sky beyond as we stare at each other
BUT WES IS ACTUALLY REALLY VERY GOOD AT MATH IN THE OG BETTER THAN THE MOVIES NOVEL(I JUST STOLE THEIR NAMES)
