I’m literally so thrilled that Better Than The Movies is being adapted into a movie (my 3rd fav book currently) but I really NEED Nothing Like The Movies (2nd fav book and FAVORITE sequel EVER made btw) to become a movie because that book was a work. Of. Art. I literally need those pages to become a movie because I KNOW the edits would be so damn good like (almost) every song I hear just gives perfect UCLA Wes-Liz vibes ugh I’m so excited I really hope the move encourages people to read the books tho 😞 especially as someone who’s read the books

I can understand not liking the casting of Wes Bennett because you will just be thinking of Cam Cameron from TSITP but not liking David Iacono as Wes because he’s not white or he’s “not attractive” is just mean and racist. First of all, he fits all of Wes’ physical features that are mentioned in the book and second of all, LYNN PAINTER , THE FREAKING AUTHOR OF THE BOOK, chose the casting and she chose them for a reason because both of these actors , Beatrice and David, are freaking awesome! Theres a difference with not liking the casting and full on being a bully towards the actors.

Just finished Betting On You!! I read a few chapters a couple days ago and the rest of the entire book today in one day. It was SO GOOD!!!!
I love both Charlie and Baileys character, and I actually couldn’t put it down!! It was a super easy read, only 400 pages and the chapters were short. It was a fun little standalone, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I loved their attempts to make her mom’s boyfriend go insane, and I thought the subplot of learning to welcome him into the family was a nice subplot to add! And the different ways they perceived each other from the beginning of the book vs the end is really heartwarming!! They are so cute and had great chemistry.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the fact that both Charlie and Bailey were a tad bit hung up on their exes for a majority of the book, but I do understand it was an obstacle that the author added.
I have read one other book by Lynn Painter, and I loved that one too so I might have to read some more of her books!

Also some of y'all need to stop hating on David for being chosen as wes like i don't exactly love the casting either (i had charlie bushnell in mind) but is it ever that serious that you feel the need to attack the actor themselves to the point wyatt aube(?) had to speak up 😭
guys i might be insane but the outrage over david iacono (cam cameron in tsitp) playing wes in the better than the movies film feels racist as hell. everyone saying he’s not wes hasn’t even seen him play the damn character. just say you wanted wes to be white and move on
