If you're heading for the refrigerator, pantry or considering pulling into the Drive-thru...PRACTICE PAUSING. "When did I finish my last meal? Am I really physically hungry?" 🤔 If you ate only an hour ago, and you really are physically hungry, take a look at what your last meal consisted of...was there enough protein? Did you eat slowly? Did your meal get pushed down with water? Were you distracted while you were eating? Get Insight and plan a new Action for your next meal. 👍🏽 If you check in with your tummy and decide, "No, I'm not really physically hungry," then see what else is going on. Are you bored? 😐 Are you frustrated? 😣 Are you lonely? 😶 Are you afraid? 😧 Are you anxious? 😢 Are you upset? 😠 If you can't identify it exactly, but you're feeling something in your body (for me it's my chest) then pay attention to that. Either way, recognize if you're physically hungry or not. 🌿 Snacking on chips or getting a bag of fries isn't going to make these feelings go away for very long...you know they'll come back.
