My therapist came in clutch today. She called the bariatric surgery office and made them give us an appointment. I sat next to her as we called. We gave the lady on the phone our info, and we now have an appointment!!!! It's in March. I'm so happy rn. My journey is back on pace. Hurray!!!

Also something cool happened with our mate. He told us we were handsome and we freaked out from gender euphoria. I have never had ANYONE call me handsome before. It was very affirming for us. Wowowowow!!!

I am 13kg from my final target. My heaviest weight was 150kg in 2021-2022. I started working with the weightlose service in 2022 and managed to drop tp 135kg through them.

Before my surgery I had to do a special diet for my liver, it meant I dropped to 125kg (I think) ( I was doing 13hr nhs shifts on 800 cals a day) since my surgery I've dropped to 87kg.

nutritionist said im on the right track, have good food discipline and she’s proud of me for shedding a few pounds knowing how difficult it is <3

im in the home stretch (final lab check, cpap for 3 months and last nutrition visit in may) before my VSG surgery! i’m hoping that im cleared for late july or sometime in september :)

I’m grieving my past self, admiring who I was, how I looked, and how much I loved me. But while I’m grieving, I am learning how to see the beauty of the new me.

I was told that what I’ve been through, is similar to being reborn…. Starting over in a new body.

Like a fire poppy, I am growing in the ashes of my past and into something quite beautiful.

I had a Gastric sleeve done years ago to lose weight since dieting and exercise just wasnt working. Boy do I regret that. Don't get me wrong, I like that I managed to lose weight (even if its not as much as I'd like to have lost) but food has become a HUGE issue for me. Every meal now is a struggle since I get full so quickly and I just don't enjoy eating anymore.

I've always been a bit of a picky eater (I blame the tism for that) but at least i never had to think about what to eat first on my plate before I get too full thats actually healthy.

Carbs are a no most the time since they are way too filling, a couple bites and i'm done. I've mostly gone off meat for the same reason which means I get fuck all protein and most high protein vegetarian recipes I find are things like Chilli which I've never liked.

I mostly prefer cold meals that I can eat slowely throughout the evening but theres only so many things I can do that with before I get bored with the food and start dreading making dinner again. Having no interest in food anymore makes meal prep real fucking hard.
