Pour un appartement situé dans une tour historique de Chicago, le designer Steven Gambrel a travaillé avec l'architecte Phillip J. Liederbach pour composer des pièces à fort impact qui chantent avec des détails somptueux. Les murs du salon recouverts de plâtre vénitien vif servent de toile de fond à un grand tableau de Joe Overstreet dans l'immeuble Art déco Palmolive de Chicago. Le designer Steven Gambrel, qui a collaboré avec Liederbach & Graham Architects sur le projet, a installé des lustres de théâtre en laiton suédois du milieu du siècle au-dessus d'un coin salon composé d'un canapé sur mesure, de fauteuils vintage de style Dominique et d'une table à cocktail des années 1970 de Philip et Kelvin LaVerne d'un côté, et d'une paire de chaises Roman Thomas flanquant un tabouret T. Fahad Hariri and his team tailor a home that’s as dashing as it is daring Repost @galeriemagazine PHOTO: JACQUES PÉPION Text : @thechicshopper Il y a trois ans, lorsque Fahad Hariri a acquis Pinto, l'éminent studio d'architecture d'intérieur basé à Paris et fondé par feu Alberto Pinto, il a déclaré qu'il s'agissait déjà d'une "seconde maison". M. Hariri, fils de l'ancien premier ministre libanais Rafic Hariri et diplômé de l'École spéciale d'architecture de Paris, avait travaillé en étroite collaboration avec le cabinet pour rénover quatre de ses résidences. Aujourd'hui codirecteur artistique avec Pietro Scaglione, Hariri explique qu'il souhaite insuffler au studio un peu d'audace et sa propre sensibilité, plus contemporaine et romantique. To minimize time and disruption, Hariri and the Pinto team mostly stuck to the apartment’s existing layout, while repurposing several rooms.
