What you seek is not always what you are looking for. There is a never ending hunger inside many of us which is never fulfilled. It feeds not from that which we consume, but from the act of consuming, and therefore can never be satisfied. It drives us to new experiences, but grows weary of that which it has already tasted. Where is it leading us? Away from the moment, the place that offers everything that is found in the then and there, but can be had in the here and now. That hunger within, like an uncontrolled growth, will eventually consume us if not recognized for the madness it creates. Be aware and the next time you are wanting, ask yourself if what you want is just a means to an end, or is it the process of acquiring that thing which brings you joy.
