On rainy days, Dazai and Chuuya just stay in bed. It's cold and grey outside and thier bed is warm and comfortable. Sometimes Chuuya exclaims sleepily that he has to get up for paperwork but he cannot say no to his husband who's clinging to him, whining that he has to stay with him so both of them just stay in bed until noon. The sound of the raindrops against the bedroom window mixed with the soft shuffling of the weighted blackets aswell as with thier soft sleepy chatting are creating a beautiful calm athmosphere. They lie cuddled together, legs tangled, Dazai pressed against Chuuya using him as human heater and Chuuya gently playing with Dazai's messy brown locks. The blankets keep them comfortably warm so that they doze off from time to time. Dazai isn't wearing any of his bandages because some time after moving together, he decided that he doesn't need to wear them at home around his chibi anymore. It had been a very emotional moment and even now Chuuya feels so happy and proud when he feels Dazai's arms wrapped around him without feeling the scratchy bandages. It was probably one of the biggest signs of trust he could show Chuuya without any drastic situation involved.
Both love these mornings a lot because it's just them. Not the ADA, not the Port Mafia, no stress and no crimes. Just them holding each other close under big blankets, exchanging soft small kisses, saying sweet nothings and thier minds being at ease.
When the rain finally stops for a while and the birds start singing again despite the grey sky, they both get up and go to the kitchen for a late breakfast. The smell of coffee and fried eggs spreading through the house. While they eat they chat about light hearted things, joke around and bicker playfully or flirt like as if they would have just become a couple. Neither of them works on these days.
