#listserv

I'd like to start a group, not on Tumblr, to discuss liberal politics.

I've got some people interested but because I hope the group grows in size, I don't want to use anything as limiting as something like group emails.

I imagine something like an email listerv would be close to ideal but may need a shared calendar or some such in the future.

So I'm looking for software, service, application ideas. I don't have much money to invest nor do I have institutional support.

So, is there anything you would suggest?

I'm considering Google Groups, because it seems to be free, allows people to apply to the group, offers moderation, etc.

Anything else I should be considering??

Put a lil newsletter out today for those subscribed to my delightful mailing list. 

It is full of my amazing wisdom (HA), successes over 2020 (fanfic, I wrote lots of it) and pictures of my cat (honestly, best part of the email). In addition to these wondrous things, there is also a wee package of prompts, reading recs & info you didn't need on the Yule Cat. 

Think about joining my newsletter listserv thing - I will only harass you like 2x a year, 3 at most. I am very lazy.
