Liquid Brunch happens every first Sunday of the month at the Fairmont Pool on the fourth floor of Fairmont Makati. The event starts at 2:00pm and runs all the way until the sun sets at 7:00pm. We were one of the first guests to arrive last Sunday and we were given our welcome drinks.

Entrance to Liquid Brunch starts at P600 per person which is the walk-in rate. This includes a welcome drink and access to the pool and venue. If you want to book a table or a cabana, those come with separate consumable charges. A Private Table for 3 costs P10,500, a Premiere Table for 4 is P15,000, and a Big Cabana good for 8 persons is P18,500.

Cocktails are crafted on the spot by Faimont Makat's talented bartenders using Liquid Brunch beverage partner Patrón Tequila.

For our Welcome Drink, we given a choice between an alcoholic or a non-alcoholic beverage. I choose the non-alcoholic welcome drink which for that Sunday was the Summer Mojito (P600). This is already worth the price of admission. You also have the choice to upgrade your entrance fee to P850 if you want to bring home the cute Liquid Brunch tumbler.

Dexter choose the alcoholic welcome drink which is called The Fruity One (P600). This is a combination of Patrón silver tequila, sweet mango puree, and fresh lime juice served in a very cool Patrón bottle..

The bar offers many other interesting cocktails on the menu like The Cool One (P600). This refreshing mix has Patrón tequila mixed with cucumber and coconut margarita.

There's also The Spicy One (P600) which uses Patrón Reposado, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and some spicy jalapeño slices to make this fiery cocktail.

Of course, you can also get the signature cocktail of Raffles and Fairmont Makati called the Makati Sling (P600), their own local version of the Singapore Sling using local ingredients.

Other quenchers available for non-alcoholic drinkers would be the Virgin Piña Colada (P400) and the Pineapple Cucumber Fizz (P400).

Liquid Brunch is made more special with the vibrant house mixes performed live all afternoon by their special guest DJs. We had DJ I$H and KATDJ setting the lively soundtrack from day to night.

I was happy to meetup once again with Ronie Marie Reyes, the new Director for Marketing Communications of Raffles and Fairmont Makati. We know Ronie from way back during her time at Crimson Hotel in Filinvest, Alabang, so we were delighted to see her here at our favorite luxury hotel in the country.

We ordered a sample from their curated menu of delicious poolside bites to go along with our cocktails and beverages.

The Truffle Fries (P600) are great to nibble on any time of the day. These crispy fries are cooked with truffle paste and garlic Parmesan cheese to give them a unique flavor.

A healthier alternative would be the Prawn Mango Salad (P800) with its combination of avocado, jalapeño, mango, coriander, and crispy tortilla

For those who want something more savory, there's the Patrón-Marinated Wagyu Skewers (P1100) which is served with side salad, charred lime, and salsa roja. The wagyu skewers are so good although once serving may not be enough for everyone.

Fairmont Makati's poolside bites can really pass off as main courses. Another example is their Grilled Tiger Prawns (P950). These juicy mouth-watering prawns are cooked in garlic butter and chili oil.

The Mexican Fried Chicken (P800) is also great to have along with beers or cocktails. It's cooked in chipotle honey and doused with sour cream.

For those with a sweet tooth, go for the Churros (P650) with its deep-fried dough served with sweet dulce de leche sauce.

Even with the slight drizzle, guests started arriving to enjoy the Liquid Brunch Sunday. Since this is a pool party, everyone brought their swimwear and started frolicking inside the pool. Unfortunately, it was that time of the month for me so we decided to just relax at the table with our food and drinks.

Liquid Brunch caters to guests of all ages and nationalities, so it's a great time to socialize and have fun while enjoying the premium cocktails and beverages offered.
