1. Will you consider coming to Hong Kong to perform as Sound Horizon in the future?

R: Even though there are no plans at the moment, if there are a lot of voices hoping for the performance, I will consider. I already feel very blessed to have someone ask me this question. For that, I will ensure this Linked Horizon concert is a success. I will do my best to let the concert audiences enjoy it, so I hope everyone will support me as well!

2. The Hong Kong girl group Super Girls did a Cantonese cover of Mr Revo's Pretty Guardian Sailer moon crystal Opening, 『Moon Pride』, has Mr Revo listened to it before? What is your impression of this version?

R: I feel like it has a different appeal compared to the Japanese version. The unique feature of Cantonese is its light pronunciation, like flowing water, it gave me the impression of the rhythm being more prominent. For『Pretty guardian sailed moon Crystal』to be well liked by everyone in Hong Kong as well, I'm extremely happy!

3. Please express some hopes and request for overseas Linhora Corp members and Laurants! Aside from buying your work and buying tickets to view lives, what else can we do to better support your activities?

R: First, I want to make it clear that it already makes me very happy that you listen to CDs! If you are happy listening to it, I will be happy too. The groups I lead are doing some unique activities, and it cannot be said to be fully understood even in Japan. It is very precious to me that you, who are overseas, understand those type of music, thank you. It seems too greedy to have any other requests... but, if I can have one more wish, please allow me to say this "if you have friends that like『Shingeki no Kyojin』, and you come to my concert together, I will be happy." This concert is for "enjoying the world of Shingeki no Kyojin through music", you can enjoy it even if you don't know us. I hope this tour will become a trajectory of happy memories to many Shingeki no Kyojin fans!

4. Compared to Japanese fans, there are limited ways for overseas fans to have their voices heard, and there are many barriers such as language. How do you usually understand overseas fans, how do you acquire their feedback? How do overseas fans like us convey our thoughts on your works or reflect our gratitude to you?

R: I have yet to fully listen to the voices of all the fans, I want to hear a lot more (from you). Even if it's not Japanese, it's okay if it is Cantonese or English. I will do my best to understand the meaning within. Even though the ocean separates us, the sky is always connected. Please shoot your passions and thoughts to me like arrows!

5. There are different stamps for every concert in this shingeki no kiseki tour. Was commander the one deciding on their designs? Are there any guidelines for choosing the scenes? I'm really looking forward to the stamp design for the Hong Kong concerts.

Commander returned to the stage after we shouted 「Jäger」again.

Commander: Thank you everyone. I underestimated everyone from the Ichihara branch. I didn’t expect you to start shouting 「Jäger」before the 321 countdown.

Commander: There were almost no MC during the main concert, we kept a very fast pace until the end. So we hope to conduct the encore in a relatively more relaxed manner~ (Audiences cheered) Before that, where are the P-seats until?

(P-seaters raised their hands in the audiences)

Commander: There was a questionnaire for P-seaters this time, it was for you to choose a song. The one chosen for Ichihara concert was 《Nikagetsugo no Kimi e (To You in Two Months) 》. This was your unanimous… no, it was not unanimous, it was chosen by majority rules. Only in this concert will it be fully per your wishes. If 《Nikagetsugo》appears too frequently the in the future, we might adjust it. But what is this for?

Commander: We frequently do interesting things for SH. For LH, this time I want to concentrate on doing music… not that I don’t concentrate on doing music for SH! No! Just that SH still need other things like acting skills and such! So this time I want to try something refreshing for LH.

Commander: There are various types of sounds in the songs. This time, even though I want to make it as simple and easy to understand as possible, there will always be a limit to that, I can’t concede further after lowering to a certain extend. Personally, I, too, hope you can hear the love I pour into making it yourself. Should I say it’s S-ish (TN:…sadistic), I also don’t want to underestimate you all too much. Perhaps that’s why the CD doesn’t sell much. A lot of adjustments are made now, for all the sound to be tweaked just right, hoping all the various sounds can be conveyed. But everyone has their preferences, some prefer it to be more like rock music, some prefer the sound of strings, so you may feel that there are some sounds you really want to listen to closely, but you just can’t hear it well. So this time we prepared this segment, remixing the songs chosen by the votes live. You make take this chance to clearly listen to parts of the songs that sounds unclear originally.

Commander: But one song is very long, so likely only half will be played. We will try it today, if everyone here reacts positively, then we will continue this segment. If all of you find it rather uninteresting, then this segment might be gone by the time we are in Tokyo. To prevent that from happening, I will do my best as well.

Commander: Then I will choose someone….. there in the second row! You with the glasses! In 《To You in Two Months》Which instrument do you most want to hear?

Then he started playing around with it. Commander: This is how I can normally play around with it. All sorts of different versions could be created in this way. But it’s usually not ideal to overemphasise a particular instrument like this, as I still hope to present the various sounds together. With this segment, lots of different versions will be born from this tour (It will be remixed in a new way as specified in every concert.)

Commander: Next up will be the encore everyone is waiting for. But actually, LH don’t really have that many songs…… How many years has it been? 5 years? I can’t even really remember. Simultaneously doing SH and LH and SH and LH and also going on the radio occasionally… There really isn’t many CDs despite it being five years. Perhaps it will be more substantial by its 10th year anniversary? But this is the only aspect I can’t improve on my own. Please offer me jobs –– (Slight bow)

Commander: Aside from LH, there were lots of songs written for the SH side. Even though this time, the LH tour is to lower the entry barrier, welcoming those who didn’t know us at all, there will still be some who came here from the SH side. For those familiar with SH, if you hear songs from SH, you may feel “Ah! I can’t believe I heard songs from SH today, I’m super lucky”. For those unfamiliar, after you listen to the songs, I hope you will feel that “Eh, the other songs from the Sunglasses-ojisan are also not bad”. So there will also be a few songs from SH this time.

Commander: After all, aside from the songs included in CDs, there are also some songs from SH that are currently not for sale.

(……Wait? Wait a second?? Encore will include songs from SH that are not being sold??? What is it it couldn’t be new songs??? That’s impossible, this is still the opening show there couldn’t be new CD in the next half a year? So what is it, the Live-only songs? The band members came up one after another, and the fangirls below were shouting: JUNJI––! YUKI––! Acchan––!! While waving their hands. Members on stage also waved a little.

Commander (stood aside and watched for a while): There will be member intro segment later~

The sound of water could be heard the moment the prelude started, and the bubbles effect that were used during the 10th Anniversary concert (Can be seen in The Assorted Horizon) appeared on screen.

The singer who came on stage was Eiko Matsumoto. The one who sang 《14 Lettered Message》as Eren’s mother.

(It is??! Actually this person singing this song?!?! Wait that’s too unexpected?!? Reasonable?!?!)

Everyone screamed. (Then quickly quietened down)

All the narrations were done by Eiko Matsumoto herself, none of it was cut. Her singing was very steady. The narrations were also not bad. The actions were the same as the ones for the 10th anniversary included in TAH. It was very good.

After she finished the song, Commander came up again.

Commander: 《Kimi ga Umarete kuru Sekai》, the CD that included this song is no longer being sold.   (––Wait weren’t you just advertising to people! You were getting them interested, but then the first song that comes up is one they can no longer purchase!)

Commander: The song just now was sang by Ms Matsumoto, it’s definitely suitable! Although the world view is different and the original song was not entirely from the perspective of a mother, this song is still very sad, and contains the emotion of a woman to her child. There are a lot of commonalities in terms of atmosphere.

Commander: There are still two more songs after this. We can’t keep singing SH songs since it’s a LH tour right. Although LH doesn’t have a lot songs, aside from Shingeki songs, there’s were also songs written for a game called Bravely Default, although we didn’t organize a tour for it then. It’s the first game in the Bravely series, and actually, the second game doesn’t include Sunglasses-ojisan anymore. Encore 2: Hinadori [Vocalized Version] (Fledgling)

As if psychic, I anticipated the song and singer before the song started! (V)

Sung by Misaki Fukunaga. (《Cold Coffin》，Annie)

She sang Edea’s song from BDFF. Regardless if it’s quality or texture of her voice, or the content of the lyrics, It’s! All! Very! Fitting!

There’s 「Black or White?」in the lyrics. Will it actually be 「Black」or「White」? It’s a song that’s very fitting for Annie’s POV. The actions are also the same as in RLBDC. Even the actions for the singer when bandmembers where showing off their skills were the same. The only difference was the set of actions towards the end, Fukunaga performed Annie’s fighting actions. It was super cool and super impressive.

After it’s over Commander came up. On his way up he was carrying the concert pamphlet against his chest, and he walked backwards onto the stage like that. \?????? wwwwww/ What is this inexplicably adorable creature.

Commander: The song that was just performed was from BDFF. It’s game music. It’s collected in an Elbum (Mispronounced)… No! AL! BUM! called 《Luxendarc Daikikou》.

Commander: It actually started with the original game music, then on the basis of the game sound track, we added Vocalization.

Commander: It was sang very well. This song is very high, not everyone can sing it. You can try to sing it, not everyone can sing such a high note on demand. Oh but actually, you have all sang it before? Like when you all were just born? The kind like “UAHUAHHH––”.

Commander: In it, one of the questions in the members interview was who was their favourite Shingekyo character. Let’s invite the members to have a more detailed conversation around this topic now. But there’s quite a few of them who wrote 【Secret】, I would like to dig a bit more today.

There’s too much going on, so I will only share a bit of the important (funny) parts that still left an impression on me.

Commander: Let’s start from the singers. The first one, MANAMI

MANAMI came out flapping her wings… no, flapping her arm with tassels on the sleeves. Seeing this, commander started humming 《Swan Lake》: 「dun~ dundundundundun~ dundun~ dundun~ dundundundundundun~」 Upon hearing it MANAMI also switched to ballet steps as she came up. As MANAMI flaps her wings… arms, commander also started flapping his wings… no, arms with tassels on the sleeves.

Commander: We are the same~  So happy that we are so like-minded~ (Two of them flap flap flapping together)

Commander: MANAMI said her favourite character is Sasha. MANAMI: I really relate to how she can eat a lot. I participated in some sort of eating competition in the past, finishing 30 plates of sushi and 30 stick of skewered food to win 10 000 yen. And after I was done I felt like I still had the stomach for more. Commander: I think you can totally pursue this field. MANAMI: I used to play basketball, I could eat a lot more then than I do now! So when I see Sasha it’s like seeing a reflection of myself.

Commander: The second one is Tsukika. Commander: How many plates of sushi can Tsukika eat? Tsukika: ……30 plates are way too many. Commander: Tsukikia’s favorite character is Nanaba. Oh Nanaba. Her younger brother will be called 「Hachiba」.

\......Pffffttt (snickering)/

(…… The “nana” in Nanaba is homonymous with 7.. so “7ba”’s brother is “8ba”… such a cold joke. So cold!)

Commander (Seemingly well prepared to anticipate that nobody would find it funny, he started making the scissors hands gesture): Okay cut! Commander: Oh this (Snip snip) means that this part should be cut from the DVD.

Commander: But actually for today’s show, there might not be anyone recording it at all.

(We all believed him, because it’s the opening day, and there had never been videos generated from opening days in the past, so it’s very likely not recorded. In thE END! LIAR! Can’t believe there is the opening show digest video after that! WHO SAID THERE WEREN’T ANYONE RECORDING!)

Tsukika: From a female’s perspective, Nanaba is very handsome. Even though I can’t tell if they are male or female. They are just very handsome! Commander: That’s true, there’s a lot of character in Shingeki whose genders are ambiguous. Isayama-sensei mentioned before that it’s okay to perceive them as either male or female. Tsukikia: I think that Hanji is a guy. Commander: The important thing is the character’s spirit and their way of living. Gender doesn’t matter. Hanji is just Hanji!

Commander: Next is Mami Yanagi. Mami Yanagi: Hi everyone, it’s been a while. Commander: Mami Yanagi’s favorite is Mikasa. She also repeatedly emphasized her liking during the last tour (Referring to Jiyuu e no Shingeki Talk & Live in 2013). Mami Yanagi: I still love her now! (Completely in a fangirl state) Mami Yanagi: The last episode in the second season was so cruel to Mikasa. I want be wrapped by the scarf–– no, I wanted to wrap the scarf around her!! Commander (Imitating Eren): 「 I’ll wrap that around you as many times as you want」

 Then it’s Eiko Matsumoto.

Commander: Her favourite is Carla. Matsumoto: Yes, I can’t help being drawn into the character. Because I also have a 10-year-old son. Commander: Yes, that’s the standard I used to choose singers. Matsumoto (Shocked): You must be lying?! Commander: I’m lying–– Matsumoto: Revo-san didn’t research me right?! Commander: No no. I chose based on sensing how this person’s voice will really suit this song. Matsumoto (Still recovering from the shock): I thought you found out from my Wiki page. Matsumoto: When Carla said 「Don’t go」, that was her most sincere feelings. Matsumoto: The lyrics for 《14 lettered》will make people wonder 「Perhaps Revo-san has children?」

Commander: Mentioned before that perhaps I was a mother in my past life~ Gave birth to around a hundred children.

Thereafter it’s Misaki Fukunaga.

Commander: Favourite is Sasha. Ah it’s the second time someone picked Sasha. She is so popular. Fukunaga: When Sasha first appeared, she always spoke very politely. Initially I thought that was her character, I didn’t expect to see her pounced onto the food once it appears. Commander: In the second season there were interesting aspects focused on Sasha. The scene of the mother being munched by the Titan. The part where she just returned home to discover the mother being munched munched munched. （もっちゃもっちゃされた） Fukunaga: I really like Annie as well. But if I have to pick a favourite, it is still Sasha.

Then it’s all the dancers.

Commander: Next is Ayu Hosoki. For Nein, she was the one displaying the bread in the bread shop (Striking the pose of holding the bread) Commander: Favourite is Mikasa Hosoki: Mm, I like the sound of her name.

Commander: Next is Yosuke Sato. Very handsome. For Nein, he was the 「Single nighhawk~」(A solo dance in《Shokumotsu》) Commander: His answer was 「Will answer after rereading」。Which part are you at now？ Sato: I’m now on the second book now. At this stage, the one I am most attached to should be Mikasa. She is very strong, pretty, but also pitiful. I want to protect her well.

Commander: Next is OBA. The Abnormal among the dancers. (He acted as the Abnormal in《Daishou》) Commander: For Nein, he was 「the one in the food chain that writhed and collapsed in some very powerful posture after being shot, and then even became a worm.」 Commander: The answer written was 「Can’t be sure」. What about now? OBA: I guess Abnormal. As a dancer there are a lot of aspects that is worth learning. Every movement is very worth leaning Commander: For ordinary people like us, the most we can do is imitate human movements. But for OBA-kun’s level, he can already gain experience from animals or even insects.

Commander: The next one is Akane Takasugi. In Nein, he is the one at 「The flower bloomed, and was scattered」(The part around 4:19 in《Kotonoha》). The dance was very sexy at that part. Commander: Answer was 「Secret」。 Takasugi: Can I keep it a secret? Commander: No. Takasugi: Then it’s…… Heichou. Commander: What do you like about Heichou? Takasugi: His cold gaze! Commander (Imitating Heichou’s way of speaking, keeping his voice low, biting his pronunciations):「You bastard（このクソが）…！」「What is this situation（これどういう狀況だ）」

Commander: The dancers are so strong. If it’s me, just one song like《Nikagetsugo》will be enough for my legs to start cramping.

Then it’s the musicians.

The first was YUKI.

Commander: Favourite is Hanji. YUKI: It was completely coincidental at first, I can’t help paying attention because our hairstyles are similar. Then when I saw her drooling when she sees the Titans, I really relate to that. I really like things like temples and castles and such, and when I see them, I will be holding Chu-hi (A fizzy fruit alcohol under Kirin) in one hand while drooling. Commander (Imitating Hanji’s overexcited tone at seeing a Titan): 「WoOO~~~~~~WOAHH~~~~~THIS SHRINE IS TOO AMAZING~~~~~~~」Like this? YUKI: Yes yes.

Commander: After Hanji it’s Junji! Commander: He said he likes all the Titans. Junji: Yes, I like every one of them. Commander: Every one? There’s always that one special Titan right. Junji: It’s impossible to neglect the Abnormals, I want to follow them. But actually, compared to the gigantic Titans, the 2,3 meter ones feel the scariest. They are closer to humans. Commander: Is it because when you see the ones around 3 meters, you feel like you can defeat them if you just try a little harder. Junji: It’s impossible! Junji: All the Titans have that smile on their faces, it feels really creepy. Commander: But you like it. Junji: I like it.

Next is Atsushi Hasegawa.

Commander: Acchan’s favourite is Reiner. Acchan: Yes, he seems very brave. He feels sort of like an older brother. His personality is also very earnest, he only became like that (mental breakdown) because he is overtly sincere. Commander: That’s because Acchan is also a very earnest person. Acchan: I’m not that earnest?! Acchan: And the Armoured Titan is very cool. Like a robot. Commander: Yes, the Armoured Titan was exceptionally cool when it first appeared. It was like Woosh (Poses like when the Armoured Titan was going to start dashing)

Next is Gen Ittetsu.

Commander: Gen Ittetsu said his favourite is Mitsuru Hanagata (Not a character from Shingekyo, but one from 《Kyojin no Hoshi (Star of the Giants)》)

Then the two began a heated discussion revolving around Star of the Giants. I have never watched so I can’t keep up with their conversation, I had no idea what they were talking about. The two were engrossed in their own world for quite a while before returning.

Gen Ittetsu: I happened to be very busy during the tour pamphlet interview period. So, I just answered randomly. So that’s what I said.

Next its members from Gen Ittetsu Strings.

Commander: Aside from Gen Ittetsu, I still want to ask the members of the Strings. But there are a lot of people in the Strings, so I’ll ask one person for each concert. This time it will be –– Cameroon Maki. Commander: Maki’s answer was not published in the pamphlet. So we can only listen to it live! Maki: I have only watched 3 episodes of Shingeki so far. For now, rather than favourite, the character I am most attached to is Keith. I am attached to his role as a teacher. Commander: Such a shiny bald head. Maki: A very strict instructor, his words are very stern and severe. This makes him very endearing, I do have such a strict person around me.

As he said this he looked at Gen Ittetsu beside him. Gen Ittetsu looked around as though unaffected and he wasn’t talking about him.

Next is Takeshi Nishiyama

Commander: He likes Ymir. Aniki: The timeline for the original Shingekyo manga is quite confusing. I went and reread it for Shingeki no Kiseki, and I had a lot of new emotions when rereading it with the impression I got from the CD. Recently I feel like I’m getting old and my memories are deteriorating, I only realized Ymir’s story was already at the start of the fifth book when I went to reread it. Aniki: Being able to write such a song from such a short story, Revo-san is really amazing this way. Commander: There were a lot of characters in the original manga, among them some died soon after they debuted. Commander: Only Isayama-sensei knows the exact follow up for a lot of characters. There are a lot to look forward to. Commander: There are also some members who just started reading it. Perhaps by the end of the tour, everyone will become professors of Shingekyo.

The last one is Koji Ikarashi

Commander: Rashi’s favorite is Armin. Commander: This time, I will pick a musician for every concert to dedicate a performance to their favourite character. It will be Rashi today. Rashi: For Armin. Commander: Sometimes it will become Gesumin (Gesu = lowlife/scumbag, this nickname originated from some of Armin’s expressions which Isayama drawn really twisted and ugly)

Follow the jumping on stage. It’s indeed difficult to keep up without instructions (……

The lyrics appeared line by line on the screen, in the same style as in the BK. But it doesn’t match the speed of the music, it just appears line by line at an even pace.

Commander: This is the end now. Everyone come and stand in front.

All the performers stood in a row.

Commander: It’s surprising when we stand in a row, there are so many people. There will be concerts with more people in the future, the special guests are not here yet either, wonder if we can still all fit in one row then.

Commander: Hope there will be more people joining us soon, and that we can perform for many others.

Commander: Thank you everyone for today ––

(All performers on stage bowed together to bring the show to an end)

Commander: Let’s offer up our hearts in the end. We took the liberty to create this Linhora Corps setting, and we will take another liberty here, when you salute, shout「Jäger」.

Commander: Offer up your hearts!

After expressing their thanks and clapping, all the performers left. In the end, Commander came up alone to do the final MC as usual.

Commander: You have offered up your hearts.

Commander: What should you offer your heart to? There are a lot of things you can dedicate to in life. There are a lot of times you need to fight. Even if the opponents are not titans, you will still need to fight. Fighting with sad things, fighting with painful things. But you can definitely overcome them. And life will go on. Music have this power. Even though there are sad songs as well, I hope I can support all of you with music. When you want to improve your mood, listen to music, and you will feel better, I hope my music can achieve this.

Commander: There were quite a few members who had never performed before today, everyone were actually really nervous. But you were all very encouraging, there were no sense of remoteness at all. Thank you very much, for watching over us with such warmth.

As he said this, Commander did a 90-degrees deep bow.

Commander: Everyone here, perhaps I will have the chance see some of you again, if you come for concerts again. The encore will be different every time, so please look forward to the future concerts.

Commander: During the last concert, it ended after 《Guren no Yumiya》was played. It will be the same this time, you can sing a bit of Karaoke before you leave. It is the second season this time, so of course it’s《Shinzou wo Sasageyo》

Commander was back after the stage darkened.

Commander: How do you all feel? This song neatly divides the album in to the first and second halves.

Commander: Because the members changed their clothes earlier, they have to change it back now, so theres MC both before and after this song. I had to add MC before and after just for this one song.

Commander: The stage was dark earlier so you might not have been able to see it, but the band members were wearing the Maria, Rose and Sina necklaces of the Church of the Walls. We made it unofficially. It’s not for sale!

Commander: If you want it you can make it yourself unofficially as well~     We can’t sell it even if we made it, or the Production Committee will be angry!

Commander: The next song is 「Wings of Freedom」. Yep I’m telling you upfront, it’s 「Wings of Freedom」. This song, last year… wait what last year, what am I talking about. During the last Talk & Live Event, so it was during the first season of the anime, I had a new guitar crafted, this guitar will also be used this time.

(Staff came up carrying Flying Freiheit, Commander puts it on)

Audience: \So handsome--!/ \Suits you very well--!/

Thereafter, what I remembered was that the mic was not well adjusted, he mentioned that he can’t take the microphone now that he needed to play the guitar, so he readjusted it himself.

Commander: In addition to the previous performance (at the Talk & Live), dancer’s choreography is added for this song in this Tour. The dancers have all picked up new weapons (Makes a gesture like the dancers swinging the lightsabres). Then, please listen to《Wings of Freedom》.

Wahhh it’s my first time seeing Flying Freiheit Live!! Happiness!! Even though I saw Flying Freiheit at the ESP exhibition before, this is indeed my first time seeing Commander carrying Flying Freiheit!

08.   Jiyuu no Tsubasa (Wings of Freedom)

The dancer’s hand lights were super cool! SUPER COOL!! During the first 「Flügel der Freiheit」it’s spinning afterimage formed the Scout Regiment crest, during the second 「Flügel der Freiheit」it formed a golden LH Band Crest, it’s too high level!!

During the German at the start and the end, there seem to be light directed at the audiences, as if to have the audiences sing in chorus. (Can’t remember the German--)

Like Guren no Yumiya, first season OP animation was used during the TV Size segment, thereafter it used clips from the latter half of the first season, the fight to capture the Female Titan, Erwin’s persuasive speech to new recruits joining the Scouts Regiment etc.

YUKI always has a very “shoujo” (TN: ..girly?? Maiden-like?? How do I convey this..innocence X”D) bounce in his steps when he change positions on stage, it’s very cute.

When the stage was darkening and no one seemed to notice, Linhora Commander took the chance to go to the small table beside the stairs at stage centre to grab some water to drink. It’s still in the manner of Heichou (TN: ..Captain Levi) drinking water (Grabbing the cup from the top).

There’s immediate commotion beneath the stage.

This band (even though its related to SH) has had a history of not allowing people to watch commander drink water unless they pay for entrance, so I feel like I got more than I paid for to be able to see him perform drinking water (???) (TN: someone please explain this anecdote to me if possible XD) 

09.   Souyoku no Hikari (The Light of Dual Wings)

Sang by MANAMI

There’s almost no animation in the first half, just the CG of the bloodied tree on the BK and the misty forest and grass. It’s the same scene as the BK but from a different angle, this time it’s fully facing the pool of blood beneath the tree…. At「But you’ve always been behind me, giving me the push needed…」was the scene of Petra watching Levi. 「But who will watch your back?」was a close up of Levi’s back.

The costumes were brilliant. MANAMI’s sleeves had the similar tassels (representing wings) as the Commander, on the right arm were white tassels, and on the left arm were black tassels. At the 「White wing」「Black wing」parts, two dancers in white will appear at her right, while two dancers in black will appear on her left, leading the dance at the 「White wing」and「Black wing」parts respectively.

The violin solo was improvised.

The clips at「Saigo no toki ~ yūkan'na heishideshita ka (In my final moments, did I appear as a brave soldier to your eyes?)」were scenes of Petra and Oluo fighting the Female Titan. 「Tainaru Souyoku No Hikari (… light of dual wings …)」was Captain Levi passing the corpses of his Special Operation Squad members. 「Nadzukerunara sō kibō (And if I were to give a name to the light I felt…yes…it would be…hope…)」corresponded to the part Levi stopping beside Petra’s corpse.

The heart-wrenching images that corresponded to the final heart-wrenching sound effects were perfectly matched again.  

10.   Jiyuu no Daishou (The Price of Freedom)

It was fully accompanied by animation for the TV Size version. The interlude in the CD version is slightly different from the TV Size version, so they added a tiny part of the scene of Team Leader Ness explaining the formations.

Commander is still carrying Flying Freiheit.

When the “Abnormal” appeared, a dancer came up to act as the “Abnormal”.

At「Ryōte ni wa Gloria (Carrying <steel blades>[Gloria] in our hands)」, two dancers entered the stage  with hand lights in their silver blades form, obviously corresponding to the two soldiers at this part.

Commander sang the line「Don'na gisei wo haratte mo, Tsukamubeki saki ga aru (There is a <future> we must take in our hands, no matter the sacrifices)」too early, and Nishiyama-Aniki watched over him with a warm gaze.

There are actions corresponding to the「Wings of Freedom」,「Soldier of Freedom」,「Price of Freedom」and「Warrior of Freedom」parts. When the song reach those parts, they will do the actions. For「Wings of Freedom」, it’s the gesture for spreading of wings; for 「Soldier of Freedom」, it’s the gesture of offering up their hearts; for 「Warrior of Freedom」it’s the gesture of throwing a punch.

11.   Kanojo wa Tsumetai Hitsugi no Naka de (She Lies within the Cold Coffin)

Sung by Misaki Fukunaga.

The song with the strongest story element performed among the character songs.

Most of the time the image is of Annie encased within the crystal

At「Watashi ga yaru shika nakattan da (I didn’t have a choice…)」 was an action of Annie fighting (TN: I presume done by the singer)

The scene of Annie talking to her father was matched to the line「Chichi no…iya… watashinojinsei wa (my father’s…no…my life…)」.

The line「Watashi ga kaketa no wa koko karadakara (Because my bet begins right here, right now…)」was fully matched to Annie saying this line in the anime.

Fukunaga sang this while standing on the stairs. The image shown was where Annie was on the ground facing Eren, Mikasa and Armin who were underground. Their position were the same top down relationship on stage as in the anime.

Corresponding to the lyrics「Toga no hi ni shima renagara nani mo shirazu ni tonde iku (Stained by the scarlet of sin, they fly unknowingly to their own deaths)」, the scene on stage was of soldiers fighting the Female Titan. The dancers representing the soldiers attacks the singer who represents Annie, but they were defeated.

At「Heishi (Soldier)」, Fukunaga did the action of offering up her heart; at「Senshi (Warrior)」she acted as though she is fighting with her fists. These are the same actions as the ones corresponding to the soldier and warrior in《Jiyuu no Daishou》.

The scenes shown at「Jiyū o yumemite mo (I can dream of freedom…)」was of the Female Titan trying to escape by scaling the wall.

「Nobashita yubi no saki ni hirameku ha no itami (I reach out my fingers…and feel the sharp pain of slashing blades…)」perfectly correspond the scene of Mikasa slicing the Female Titan’s fingers, the metallic sound effect was matched to Mikasa swinging her blade.

「Naraku e to ochite yuku (I descend towards hell…)」matched the scene of the Female Titan falling.

Commander: We sang nonstop again.

Commander: This time the songs are all combined with the anime, putting a little emphasis on the story elements even though it’s a Live.

Commander: The next song will already be the last song.

\Eh––??/

Commander: But you should have long anticipated it? There’s only so many songs in total.

Commander: We tried to lower the difficulty this time. 《Kami no Miwaza》was too hard to sing, it might get messy if we let you all sang it. But for this last song 《Shinzou wo Sasageyo》, I still hope everyone can sing it together, sing the refrain. Even though you may be thinking “Where exactly is the refrain?”, it’s just the part that sounds like the refrain.

Commander: It’s okay even if you don’t remember the lyrics. Though this song is rumoured to be the typical theme song with low IQ, even a primary school students can hum “Sasageyo—Sasageyo—Shinzou wo— Sasageyo—“. I heard that a child of one of the staff members was like that. I suppose if I sing the wrong lyrics, my IQ will be lower than primary school students.

Commander: Let’s add some actions to the singing.

Then he started demonstrating the actions.

Commander (Doing the action as he sings): 「Sasageyo—Sasa—geyo—Shin—zou—wo—Sasa—geyo—」

After singing one line a cappella, he turned with a bewildered expression to glance at the unaffected band members gazing at him in silence.

Only then did Igarashi started playing the accompaniment. Audiences laughed.

Commander: 「Dundun——dundun——Muddle past this part——Dundun——dundundundundundun——dundun」

Commander (Doing the action as he sings): 「Sasageyo—Sasa—geyo—Shin—zou—wo—Sasa—geyo—」

Commander: 「Dundun——dundun——Muddle past this part too——Dundun——dundundundundundun——dundun」

Commander: Just like this, swing your fist with the first half of the rhythm, then put your hand on your heart, then escalate the speed you swing your fist, and put you hand to your heart again.

Commander: Well, it’s alright even if you do it wrongly~ I might even do it wrongly, so even if you make a mistake it’s fine! Just relax and do it! If everyone is happy, this concert will already be a great success.

12.   Shinzou wo Sasageyo (Offer up your Hearts)

The singers gathered again for the harmony.

And then, although Commander didn’t lose to primary school students by singing the wrong lyrics, he prominently did the wrong actions wwwww

On the second last 「Sasageyo! Sasageyo!」where the actions were supposed to be slower, he was twice as fast. It’s very eye-catching once compared to the singers beside him.

And obviously he immediately realised his mistake too, and smiled rather sheepishly.

(I can’t believe the part with the mistake was also included in the digest of the opening show released on the 10th!) (TN: It’s true, if you watch 3:07 – 3:11 you can see it – quite a lot of the audiences seem to be following his example though, and too bad it’s too far away to see his smile XD)

13.   Guren no Tomoshibi wo Matoi Suiheisen no Kanata e to (Heading Beyond the Horizon  while Entwined with the Crimson Lamp)

The stage darkened after 《Shinzou wo Sasageyo》, and this hidden song started without any warning. At first the lights were only shining on Commander, there after lights was shone on YUKI and Nishiyama-Aniki.

Acoustic guitar trio by Commander, YUKI and Nishiyama-Aniki. The guitar that Commander was using for this song should be the newly crafted guitar, the one called 「Guren Suiheisen (Crimson Horizon)」.

Through the entire song, background was of a reddish orange sea, indicating sunset.

The translucent screen lowered back down after the song ended.

After putting down his guitar, Commander went up the stairs, and with his back to the audiences, he opened his arms while facing the sea shown on the screen, recreating the album cover. His actions combined with the sound of bird call at the end of this hidden song, and just as the screen was about to darken, there were scattering feathers projected, creating an effect as though Commander turned into a bird that took flight. Then the images on the screen went back from the sea, through the Titan Forest, and return to within the walls.

The concert logo was shown in the end.

Before the Concert

Merch:

Day 1 merch sales start from 11am in the morning. Perhaps due to the reservation system employed for the Premium seat audiences, the queue for the merchandises is not very long, it’s possible to see the head of the queue.

Right after 11, announcement was made by staff to conduct the sales of merchandises: We will now begin the sales of「Shingeki no Kiseki」Tour merchandises. Shinzou wo sasage yo!! (Offer up your hearts!!)

Linhora Corps Members: …?! Ha!! (Did the Heart Salute by reflex)

It took a moment for us to realize what we did, and everyone started laughing and clapping. This time, the staffs also did the heart salute to customers as they sell the merch. Entering the venue, purchasing the merchandises, getting the stamp, and taking a seat all happened as usual. My seat for day 1 was on row 13, which was rather close to the stage. I could even see the preparations going on behind the screen before the performance began. I could also easily identify YUKI who took his position with his guitar.  

Announcement before the opening. As expected of Linhora opening announcements, even though it was not SH and there wasn’t Sascha making use of various popular SH lyrics, there were still bunch of settings incorporated to emphasize the story elements. The announcer is a female voice, and introduced herself as “Linhora Corps Relay team Recruit Isuka (TN: Iska?)”

Iska: Everyone from Linhora Ichihara branch, good evening. Welcome to the Live Tour organized by Linhora Corps, 「Shingeki no Kiseki」. I am Linhora Corps Relay team recruit Iska. I heard from our squad leader, Vial, that there are a lot of creatures bigger than Titans in the Ichihara branch. They are  called “Elephants”. Even though they are not a species that eat people, I still get very frightened when I see gigantic creatures!

Subsequently it was various precautionary announcements. These were repeated twice, the first time emphasizing that photos and recordings are not permitted, and the second time to test the wristbands. Unlike Sascha, there are not much lyrics thrown into the announcements at these parts. Iska explained everything in a very proper manner. Her sentences always end with 「~dearimasu」(TN: indicating formality (?)).

After the second round of announcements, it was about time for the concert to start. The screen was still down, and the image of the (shingeki) wall was projected upon it. As we waited, a row of people came up behind the screen, presumably the singers, and they stood neatly in a row. Subsequently, someone whose silhouette closely resembled Revo walked to the center of the stage. Everyone screamed and cheered while clapping.

Main

All the songs from the main performance were fully accompanied by videos from SNK anime, it’s quite extravagant. Moreover the contents of the anime and songs are matched almost seamlessly.  

After the show, someone commented that it is “An Ojisan that loves SNK and is a diehard fan of SNK. He brought together the singers and musicians he liked to create the best SNK music from his heart. This was coupled with the best edited anime clips to form the “official” huge MAD with concert music onsite.” That’s true wwwwwwwww.

Especially in the songs for the female supporting characters, the key sound effects completely match with the anime clips. Regardless if it was the sound of Carla being eaten by the titans, the sound of Ilse being eaten by the titans, the sound of the Petra’s body being tossed from the cart, or the sound of Annie’s female titan fingers being sliced by Mikasa, all these scenes was shown on the screen.

01.   Nikagetsugo no Kimi e (To You in Two Months)

The sound of wind and the sea started after the venue darkened. The wristbands turned blue.

The prelude began with the scenes on the translucent screen. Across the wall, through the Titan Forest, and thereafter is the scene from the first episode of the anime. The wristband turned orange. At the same time the stage lit up, revealing the person behind the screen.

The main singer is Commander (Revo), 5 singers stood alongside him for the harmony. This included the chorus part at the beginning, and the refrain. The choreography is the same as ToLH (Theme of Linked Horizon), there’s a strong sense of déjà vu.

Commander’s clothes are the ones on the album cover. The five singers’ clothes are mainly white, with the Linhora style napoleon jacket in black with gold accents. Their hair are styled similarly to the main character of their songs. The other musicians’ clothes are also of the same standardized style.

At the part「Guren no hi wo matoi (Wreathing yourself in crimson light)」the huge screens inside of the stage lit up, showing a red sea.

「Ji ni moeru kusa no me ni wa ( grass buds sprouting from the earth)」the images were of fields with flowers

As the screen in front played clips from the first episode, the screen at the back shows the sea. At around the interlude the translucent screen opens and the anime clip transfers to the screen at the back. The dancers appeared at around「Korekara mo tsudzuku tatakai wa (This battle will only grow harshe)」, performing as though in combat with hand lights that looked like silver lightsabers to express the “Battle” here. There’s a total of four dancers here, theres seven on the concert publications. Unless more people are added during subsequent concerts, it should be alternating between the seven dancers.

The band also appeared during the interlude. During the guitar solo, Commander played along with air guitar.

When Sascha announced the song title in German, it was shown on the screen with the handwritten animation effect.

The dancer’s props were super cool this time. During this song we thought it was just normal silver lightsabre representing the blade of the omni-directional mobility gear. But the light effects are actually adjustable, and it was used in various unexpected ways as the concert progressed…

After Nikagetsu , Commander made the scissors hands gesture before he even started speaking. It’s super cute!

He spoke too much during this MC and I can’t remember everything, so this is just the rough idea.

Commander: Good evening. We are Linked Horizon. The tour finally started. Ahh, the rehearsals passed in the blink of an eye. I wanted to practice for a while longer, but on one hand it’s the desire for more rehearsals, on the other hand I still wanted to meet all of you sooner.

Commander: This tour is already longer than the rehearsals. That rarely happens for my concerts.

Commander: I’m very happy to be performing with such excellent members. I hope this tour will become one that makes everyone increasingly love SNK.

Commander: Ah from my perspective the lights on the audiences are so bright. Even with my sunglasses it’s so bright! There should still be a lot of people in the back rows, right? Shine some light there for me to have a look~? Fighting for the opening tickets should have been an intense battle for you all, the seats should be quite full, it should be fine to shine the lights there I hope? If it happens that the back rows are not filled, I am going to feel uneasy.

Commander: Oh oh~ Among those seated here, regardless if it’s for Sound Horizon or Linked Horizon, who is the first time seeing us perform today~?

Commander: Thank you, but I can’t see the show of hands like this! Stop clapping for a while, sorry, can the first timers raise your hands again?

Commander: Ah quite a few. For this performance, it doesn’t matter to what extend you like or understand Linked Horizon, you can enjoy it so long as you like SNK. Although I trust that there will be a lot of people here who know us very well, the concert today are irrelevant to past concerts! Everyone is on the same starting line. Perhaps the ones who know us well will feel that I am being too long-winded. But I hope to make this as easy as possible for the unfamiliar ones. (He repeated things to this effect several times)

Commander: We intentionally rearranged the CD song sequence for the subsequent set list. Please anticipate what the next song will be.

02.   Moshi Kono Kabe no Naka ga Ikken no Ie Dato (If Everything Within These Walls were Just One House)

The moment the prelude’s pendulum sound began, everyone started cheering.

Although I had expected them to play this song, I didn’t expect it this early!

In hindsight, it made sense since both Nikagetsu and Guren are Revocal. It might be too tiring for him to sing back to back in concert, as per the sequence in the CD. Thus, it was necessary to insert a song by another singer between them. Inserting this song before Guren is seamless both in terms of music continuity and story timeline. After all, the ending to this song matches the beginning of Guren - it is the most suitable under all considerations.

It’s still fully accompanied by anime clips. The beginning is the same “door” as in Jiyuu e no Shingeki (TN: gate? I’m not entirely sure what they are referring to..) , with a young Armin beside the door.  The subsequent video focused on the trio when they were young, and the part in ep 12 where Armin was shouting at Eren after he lose his mind in his Titan form. There were also home Eren imagined (?) and Armin knocking outside the window. The lyrics「Water made of flames, lands of ice and snowy fields of sand are expanding」were perfectly matched with the images in the video.

Unlike in the CD but akin to all the other songs in 《Shingeki no Kiseki》, Sascha’s German narration of the song title was added, with the title simultaneously displayed on screen with animated effects.

03.   Guren no Yumiya (Crimson Bow and Arrows)

Moshikabe logically flowed into Guren no Yumiya.

The narration is of course the album version. The TV Size part of the song used the season one OP animation, thereafter it’s from the first few episodes of season 1, the start of the first episode and Eren vs Colossal Titan etc.

Narration for「That day mankind received a grim reminder…」used the same scene as where the narration appeared in the anime.

The Dancer’s hand lights which we initially thought to be silver blades changed in this song to look like they were spitting fire, such that when they swung them around they looked like burning arrows. What’s even cooler was when they spun it - the afterimage looked like flames!

The「Jäger」and「Eren」were standard Call & Response，「Wir sind der Jäger」also continued being audiences’ chorus.

Commander’s actions were also the familiar set of actions. Yet they seem subtly less than what I remembered from Kouhaku… 

04.   14 Moji no Dengon (14 Lettered Message)

Sung by Eiko Matsumoto.

Scenes are of Carla’s highlights, so of course it’s mainly from ep 1 and ep 2.

During the thunder background sound effect at「Mata kikime no usui kogoto o kurikaesu (I scold you again, as ineffective as it is)」, the stage lights also flashed, imitating lighting.

During「Jikan'yotomare (if only time would stop)」, the images turned to black and white, and the lights on the wristbands faded away.

It switched to Carla’s final scenes at「Tatoe anata ga (Even if you eventually…)」. The rhythm and the sound effect of the titan’s footsteps starts to be almost in sync with the video.  

The melodica at the end was live by Igarashi.

Finally, the sound effect when the Titan bit down M A T C H E S  P E R F E C T L Y with the scene in the anime.

What was already a very impactful scene became even more emotional with live music accompaniment.

How daRE.

In the end the screen showed CG of three birds flying across a sunset sky, recreating the final image in the BK.

05.   Guren no Zahyou (Crimson Coordinates)

The translucent screen is down. There’s the sound of rain at the start, and there’s also drizzling projected on the translucent screen.

At「Rakuen o samayoeru awarena hitokage (Pitiful silhouettes that wander in paradise)」the four dancers imitated the mindless roaming titans.

「Jäger」and「Krueger」are again standard Call & Response。

The two parts「Sono ishi wa Muda janai (Their dying wish won’t be in vain), Kono mama ja Owarasenai (I won’t let it end like this)」and「Kono ishi yo Toki o koe (Let their dying wish transcend time), Nandodemo Uketsuga re (To be passed on over and over again)」switch between the left and right channels as in the CD, and the light position also change according to the sound channels.  

06.   Saigo no Senka (The Final Battle Deed)

Sung by Tsukika

During the first part of the song, scenes from when Survey Corps depart for the 57th expedition beyond the walls were shown.

They start to use the OAD scenes in the second part.

After「Watashi wa saigomade kusshinai (I will never give up)」,「Kidachi chino kage ni (…from behind the trees)」was immediately matched to the scene of titans appearing. 「Yumiru no Tami… Yumiru-sama.. yokuzo (“…subjects…of..Ymir…” “…great….Ymir…” “Well met…”)」fully correspond to the image of the titan talking on screen. Tsukika will make the gesture of writing everytime she sings「Kusshinai (never give up)」

The second last part of the song fully correspond to final moments of Ilsa in the OAD, the sound (TN: of the notebook dropping?) and the image are totally in sync.

For the last part of the song, the stage was lit with purple lights.

When the darkened stage brightened again, Commander is back with a change of clothes.

Commander: Thank you

Commander: As we kept singing, were you all thinking “Are there no MCs anymore”?

Commander (Turning to look behind): Ah-! Why did everyone disappear from the stage once I come up for MC? Is it because everyone at the Ichihara branch are too uncooperative?

\Eh--??/

Commander: Nah (Laughs). The next song will be one that is religious in nature. This song doesn’t need the band, instead there’s a choir – (turns around) Even though the choir is not here today, the singers will sing it with the audio of the choir. There’s no accompaniment, so there won’t be any band performing. But it would be boring if it’s only like that, so the band members will be here dressed as believers (Wallists) . They are now preparing backstage, so I’m here to buy time.

Commander: Does everybody know about the Church of the Walls? I don’t really understand their doctrine, but roughly it’s just that the walls are untouchable! If you touch it, you will provoke them! You can only look at the walls, but not touch it! If you touch it, you will offend them! You will be punished!

Commander: Since we can’t touch the walls, can we dig a tunnel from beneath it? No! Even though tunnels are really convenient, isn’t it? You have all travelled on things like Shinkansen right? Like the Tokaido Line (makes gesture of a straight line). If we can’t dig tunnels things will become very difficult (Gestures a squiggly line)!

Commander: In summary, the wall is sacred, you can’t do anything to the walls!

Commander: Has everyone seen the anime? (Image of the Wallists praying is shown on screen) That’s the feel of the Church of the Wall. Does it give you a sense of foreboding? Despite having considered that it might be fun for all of you to sing it, the song requires splitting the singers into different groups. I’m afraid once we start singing you might get confused like “eh? Which part was I supposed to sing again?”, and some will not be able to keep up. So for now – and it’s only optional! If you want, you can do this Wallists action, and link like a chain with the person next to you. It’s entirely voluntary! Absolutely do not force yourself! It’ll be bad if I’m suddenly telling you to link arms with the strange old man beside you, and in hindsight it becomes “I didn’t want to do it at all! We were sweaty and sticky and didn’t want to touch at all but this bastard Glasses Oji-san forced us to do it!” No, it’s voluntary. The band members know each other so it’s fine. For all of you, casually introduce yourself to the person beside you and ask each other “Do you want to do it?”. If yes, reply “Jäger (Looking very passionate)” , if not, say “No Jäger (Looking very disdainful)” like this. I hope I can let everyone have the sensation of being in a great church. After we are done we will be accepting everyone’s complains ––  it will be received and managed after the tour ~

07.   Kami no Miwaza (The Work of the Divine)

The five female singers were wearing white robes with necklaces of the Church of the Wall. They sang while standing on the stairs in the middle of the stage.

The band members stood on both sides of the stairs, cosplaying as Wallists.

There were three steps of stairs, the singers stood in the formation of 2-2-1 from top to bottom steps respectively. At the 「Thou～Thou～Thou～」part, the singers on each step repeat it once. At「Maria」「Rose」「Sina」, the singer on the first step sings 「Maria」, the second step「Rose」, the third「Sina」, symbolizing the three layer of walls.
