Thinking about an au where Iruma is a feral half-demon and his parents were poachers/smugglers or wtv and got caught by border patrol but since they're also both half demon they get thrown in jail while their son gets a resocialization opportunity.

The idea is that both his parents were partly demon but lived most of their lives as humans in the human world. Met and had Iruma there also but at some point the entire family ended up crossing over to the netherworld and because of this Iruma spent some time not only hiding his demonic traits but also he knows Japanese better than the demon language. His parents somehow managed fine with black market transactions but never taught him because the money making riskier stuff is in the wild here after all. Iruma's wings are not really functional due to being binded for most of his childhood instead of being removed, and his horns were cut off but again, not through surgery or something because that's a lot of work they would not care to do. So he's still flightless and an expert dodger, except his wings hang like a cape most of the time since folding them is hard.
