Dawn peeked over the edges of the Arena, and though Antigone had hardly slept, she felt oddly refreshed as the sun came up. While she had spent some time with a few other tributes so far, she didn’t want to be tied to any one person or location. She wanted to explore, stretch her legs. So she started wandering the path once again, hoping it’d take her somewhere new and exciting.
She saw a sign outside of a building for otters, and without hesitation she opened the door and walked into the exhibit. She’d never seen so many of the animals that were here, and while she’d not caught a glimpse of the bears yet, she hoped that she might get to see one at some point. Otters would do for now, though, she’d seen pictures in books and she wanted to see them in life.
She realized, though, that she wasn’t alone. “Oh no, I’m sorry!”

Banjo was feeling anxious. A new pair of tributes were coming to the tower. He wasn’t sure if they were going to be kind to him or take advantage of his job. He was also worried if his little brother or sister were called. Of course, he hoped for the best but anything could happen. The male stood at the table by the door and wiped it over and over again, closely eyeing the door. Suddenly, he saw it open and the tributes walking in.
The male dropped his rag on the ground out of disbelief. His sister, Lilybelle, was standing in front of him. The male rubbed his eyes, hoping what he was seeing was wrong. It had been five years since Banjo had last seen his sister. It felt nice to see her again but he hated that she was a tribute for the Hunger Games. If she died, that meant Feather was going to be all alone. When no one else was in the room, the blonde ran over to the girl and gave her a tight hug, scared to let go in fear that she would disappear. There were so many questions the male wanted to ask her. How was she? How was life back home in Five? How was Feather? It killed him to not be able to speak to her.

Six weeks since I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. Six weeks since I held her in my arms. Six weeks since I became a different person. Grief is a strange thing..
