Confrontation of a Deal; Lilo & Sloan
Shiloh and Sloan had both agreed that they did not want their business, their dealings, to come back to their family home; this extended to both buying and selling. You did not shit where you ate. The problem was: public locations did not afford all the anonymity that a residence would. Sloan had to carefully choose where she picked up the drugs that she intended to sell en masse to the residents of Sumner. And as her list of clientās grew, the amount of product she was moving grew as well. Supply and demand.
Sumner Sanctum Academy had a recreational center and gym that was often busy. Filled with the energy of various students of various species. It was the perfect cover for Sloan. She could come to the rec, get in a strength workout, and meet with a member of Los Lobos. Los Lobos gang supplied many different products and catered perfectly to the complex and varied tastes of Sumnerās citizens. It was also a bonus that the gang was exactly what it professed to be - wolves. Many gargoyles held a strong distaste for werewolves but Sloan was not her heritage. Infact, currently, Sloan wanted as little to do with gargoyles as possible; their caution was nothing more than a pathetic hinderance. So, werewolves were copacetic.
āOh good! You brought my gym bag!ā Sloan exclaimed as she saw the familiar face in front of the rec center, toting a bag that could, but certainly did not, contain workout clothing. The money she owed the Lobos was left in a post office box to which they both had the key; it was better to not be trading massive amounts of money as well as massive amounts of drugs. Sloan slung the bag over her shoulder, leaning in to hug the wolf named Platito. āWe are going to have to up our meetings from once a fortnight to once a week,ā Sloan spoke lowly.
āOi, mi Ć”ngel de piedra,ā the werewolf replied, remaining in the hug. To everyone else, they were boyfriend and girlfriend, whispering sweet nothings. āYou make Los Lobos much money. Do not get sloppy dealing more than you can handle. We would hate for something to happen.ā
Their meetings were always short and Sloan was never quite sure if Platito was being genuine or threatening, perhaps some odd mixture of both. Sloan pondered this for a moment as she watched him disappear.
