This is my third piece for the @tolkienrsb, an AU where Maeglin and Aredhel go to Nargothrond with C&C instead of heading to Gondolin!

Maeglin is an elf man with light brown skin, black hair pulled up into a bun, and black eyes; he is wearing three purple stud earrings and a blue robe with dark blue trim.
Celebrimbor is a tall elf man with brown skin and very curly brown hair; Curufin is a short elf man with light brown skin and long, straight black hair, and wearing a black robe; Aredhel is a short elf woman with dark brown skin, tight black curls cropped at her shoulder, and wearing a white dress.
Behind the elves is a view of Nargothrond. The front gates are purple with blue handles; several blue stone lamps are embedded in the wall, radiating light over the scene; yellow banners hang on either side of the door, bearing the image of a green snake. The nerve of the youth impressed Glorfindel, who was very much used to far more respect than the comparative child was showing.  Holding his tongue,  Glorfindel lowered his gaze and considered his response.  In a way,  the boy was not wrong.  Glorfindel had been taking steps to avoid Maeglin ever since the child arrived with his ill-fated mother.  "I am...  conflicted by my involvement.  I was stationed to protect your mother.  I failed,  and thus you were born."  He said no more than that,  he knew not what to say after such a confession.  That he was unsure whether to regret his past failure or not,  given how all things panned out. But since they are conversing now,  âI am Glorfindel, of the House of the Golden Flower.â He holds out his hand in friendship.

Beleg had tracked the wanderer for several hours, watching them walk apparently aimlessly through the woods - woods that belonged to Doriath, just outside of the reach of Melianâs magical barrier. Now he wanted answers.
He slipped up behind them when they paused to get their bearings and pressed a dagger to their throat.
[ âď¸ ] â â Naneth! â the young elleth smiled widely at the sight of her lady mother, Galadriel. Picking up her skirts from around her bare feet and dashed toward her quickly before wrapping her arms around her tightly. Aureriel turned her head up to look at her mother and giggled, she was still young not even an adult by their peoples laws.Â
Phish Food: a music headcanon (for Curufin or Celegorm, or both!)
Curufin is absolutely certain that his father always sang the best lullabies and tries to imitate the way he put emotion into his voice when he sings. Of course Curufin doesnât really sing often, but he will sometimes if his siblings ask him to because itâs something nice he can do for them. Also he is always willing to take a few moments to sing something for his son. He will make sure that whoever asks is aware that singing is different from the chants he uses while crafting though.
Celegorm doesnât sing unless heâs camping or drunk. He knows all the drinking songs that Maglor wrote and those that are popular, and he finds it hilarious to introduce another of Maglorâs drinking songs while everyone else is too drunk to notice it but they remember the words. There are a small handful of exceptions on his refusal to sing and usually those are tied to his brothers or nephew having trouble sleeping.
