Ooooh, Sirry wrist kiss!!! đ
Harry didnât often think of the future when he was in school.  In fact, there was a part of him that just wanted to survive the school year or school years and couldnât fathom actually making it to adulthood. Â
Voldemort is gone.  Sirius came back.  Life moved on.
He skipped out on his last year of school (the one he wouldâve had to re-do) and chose to be a professional quidditch player. Â
Sirius had been supportive, even if a lot of people questioned his decision. Â
Except five years later, heâs faced with a career-ending injury. Â
His arm is in a sling â this time about to be put in a cast.  Magic had been able to heal him the last dozen or so times this happened, but the healer just told him that heâd have to heal things the muggle way.
âI donât understand, why canât magic heal him?â Sirius questions, ever the supportive person in his life â first as a godfather, now as his boyfriend.Â
âAs I told Mr. Potter, his body is becoming resistant to the potions that have healed this break before from over-exposure to them.  Thus, we have to go the muggle way, and he really should consider retirement ââ
âItâs only been five years!â
âYes, well, I believe another young player retired after two.â
That was Krum.  He couldnât take the fame and wanted the quiet life.  Harry gets it.  He does, too.  Except that Harry liked that his quidditch fame was overcoming the stupid chosen one fame.  Heâd rather be famous for something that doesnât cause him to remember the deaths of his parents and the painful years at the Dursleys. Â
âI am not Krum.  I want to play.â
âWell, then, you are going to have to rest and take the bone-strengthening potions for a few weeks.  Once the cast is off, we will re-evaluate, and I should be able to give you a better idea of if my retirement recommendation stands.â
Heâs not happy, but heâll figure it out in a few weeks.  Either way, heâs not letting this go.  Heâs never been one to give up.
A few weeks later, Sirius is standing beside Harry as he moves his hand, wrist and arm around.  The potions that he wasnât resistant to appeared to have done their job along with the muggle cast.
Harry is smiling and happy as they leave with a âbe carefulâ, but not a âretirement neededâ recommendation. Â
âThis is the best thing to happen today,â Harry says, happily as they walk hand-in-hand down the streets of muggle London. Â
Sirius raises the hand holding his to his lips to kiss his wrist before he says, âPerhaps I could try to make it the second-best thing to happen to you today?â
âOh?â Harry asks, surprised when Sirius pulls on his hand to stop in front of a nearby fountain, and bends on one knee.  âOh!â
âHarry, it hasnât always been easy, but no one could ever make me as happy as you.  I could only hope that youâd let me make you as happy as you make me for the rest of our lives.  Will you marry me?â
âYes!â Harry yells, happily. Â
Sirius presses a kiss to Harryâs wrist as he slips the ring on his finger before kissing his hand, and then, standing and kissing him. Â
When they break apart, Harry looks down at his ring and smiles.  âYouâre right, finding out I donât have to give up quidditch is the second-best thing to happen today â getting proposed to is hard to top.â
Sirius chuckles.  âGood.  Letâs go celebrate.â
I'm still playing! If you wanna play, here's the OG Post - Here
