The paradox ending (non-canon/bad ending/dream of Serah's) from Final Fantasy XIII-2 being very similar to the above scene from Kingdom Hearts II, that came out years before. A.K.A. I think this was a Kingdom Hearts II reference.

Some Cordelia Chase (Angel the Series A.K.A. the Buffyverse) and Serah Farron (Final Fantasy XIII-2) parallels.

And for once I don’t feel like explaining it all. LOL

I screenshotted the amazing @starryeyesxx‘s Cordelia gifsets (that you should all seriously check out, because they’re glorious), because I don’t have my Angel DVDs atm. Otherwise, I would have gotten the screenshots myself. But if for any reason this isn’t okay, just let me know and I’ll gladly take this down:)

This scene from Code Geass, where Nunnally is reaching out to her brother Lelouch (though she doesn’t know it’s Lelouch)--and he flashes back to when their sister Eupemia did the same thing, before tragic things happened--makes me think of these KH and Lightning Returns scenes: also because Lightning and Serah are siblings, and Sora and Riku have been compared to brothers. -shot-
