I need to see people talk about Sherlock & Moriarty’s mutual obsession/possessiveness more.
They’re reshaping eachother in very different ways, influencing one another in sometimes very subtle ways—even without realizing it.
I love how much they balance one another out— they’re a scale of justice. One being the grace of mercy, and the other being judgement. You can’t have one without the other, and they bleed into one another.
People I feel, also underestimate Sherlock’s own obsession with James. He’s always pulling him along, waiting for him to catch up to subtle hints. He’s making lures to catch and reel in a fish, you could even say. Always dragging the fish back out of the lake it resides in, (especially at the end when he was baiting James into following after him.) and it always works.
I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but I think about the fact that Sherlock likes making fishing lures a lot in the regard of Sheriarty
naddpod fandom is soooooo funny because it is literally one of the top ten most subscribed to podcasts on patreon (they have almost 40,000 people paying them + all the people that listen for free) and yet the Naddpod tumblr community is relatively quite small to the point where I feel like I never miss a development. barring gender affirming care one thing i think cosmetic surgery kind of takes away is the idea that as you move through life your natural face really comes to mean something. when my great grandad was suffering with dementia he would recognise my grandmother more than anyone else in his moments of lucidity because of this mole she had on her chin. her face had come to mean something
