I need y'all to let go of the idea that Libra placements are actively trying to get people to like them. People just do. They don’t have to go out their way to attract people and they are too self-involved to do so.

So, I am currently a high school senior, and this year, I have an open fourth period. By law I am not supposed to stay on school grounds, but the librarians like me, so they don't mind me staying in the library. Last year I was a library aide for them, so I know how strict they can be about aides not working (shelving books, pulling carts, cleaning the library, etc..) The entire class period. So this semester their 4th period aide is my friend Nigel. I help him with his jobs sometimes, we talk a lot. We talk about cars, camping guns, books etc. Sometimes, on days I don't feel like doing anything he will come sit on the couches with me. The librarians never tell him to get back to work. Its near the end of the school year, and that means its prom season, so my boyfriend arranged for some of the mens choir to sing a prom proposal to me during 4th period. So I was helping Nigel shelve books when My boyfriend came in with the choir and did their performance. I laughed, Nigel just sort of awkwardly retreated, and the librarians were crying. I didn't really understand why. I accepted my boyfriends proposal and he had to leave, so the library was quiet again. The librarians were still crying so I was like "What? Its not as if he asked me to marry him, and the proposal was slightly cliche" To which they replied they didn't realize I had a boyfriend, because they had been purposefully letting Nigel not do his work so that he would talk with me, trying to get us to get together. MY SCHOOL LIBRARIANS WERE SHIPPING ME WITH SOMEONE. On that note, that was about two weeks ago... since then I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me. Once I got to thinking about it, I really liked Nigel. Yesterday I asked him to prom (Nothing Fancy, just a simple asking) and he said YES!! The librarians are thrilled... but now they make Nigel do work during 4th, so I hardly get to spend time with him....

Got a picture book about Manfred from another library and it came into ours today, so the librarian goes back and gets it, takes a look at it and says "Oh, gosh now i'm going to have that song stuck in my head all day". She then looks up at me and says "you probably don't know it". I look at her and say, "The one by the Royal Guardsmen?" She looks at me skeptically and says, "yeah, that's the one"
"Yes ma'am, I know that one." I said. And then she looks through the book before she gives it to me, saying "Oh gosh this is cool, look at all these pictures".
